  1. Past hour
  2. Texas was already getting a decent bump up in year two. If it came down to needing a little more from one more player or in retention ... I can see it
  3. it's in Indiana, a huge basketball state, so not sure why it shouldn't be.
  4. @Gerry Hamiltonyou think Sean getting us to the sweet 16 will up his portal budget for the upcoming year? Feel like he should be able to go out and spend a lot more now, he’s proven.
  5. All depends on if he gets a first round "guarantee". If he does, he's gone. If it was any other draft, he would be a guaranteed first rounder. This draft is a beast from the top through the first round. Swain's one of 8-10 guys vying for 4 late first round slots IMO. NBA teams truly like him. If he doesn't get a guarantee, decent odds he returns for a final season - as of today. Will be interesting.
  6. Stretch 4, but with defensive presence around the rim Team runner/CG/PG ... best fit. Austin Goosby will play as a CG next year, but secondary to portal get. Off guard/wing that can shoot it, but also has defensive ability Back up center with experience. Guard depth piece, has to be able to shoot it and handle ball pressure. Probably another roll player, as it stands today.
  7. Today
  8. Think those are all a little low, and 3-4 considerably (meaning 1.5-2 mill) Moving forward need 10.5-11.5 mill to feel really good about it on an annual basis in the current landscape
  9. Here's an interesting WSJ article: "While home runs continue to soar out of stadiums at near-record levels, doubles and triples are disappearing from the sport at an alarming rate. Games in 2025 featured an average of just 3.19 doubles, the fewest in an uninterrupted campaign since 1992. Nearly 800 two-baggers have vanished from the game over the course of this decade." https://www.wsj.com/sports/baseball/mlb-baseball-opening-day-triples-a5c30f00?st=bjmAEK&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink
  10. Lots of great baseball to start SEC play, but after this weekend can’t we just get a team outside of the top 15 🤣?!
  11. Is it too early to book a hotel in Omaha?
  12. Texas baseball is finding a way to hang in there and win despite some crucial missteps in this early conference season. To go in and win that series at Auburn after a disastrous bottom nine loss on an error in game one, giving up four runs, really speaks highly for our team and its resiliency. We just need to keep getting better and reach our potential, peaking at the end of the season.
  13. Yes. There’s a 10 day window after the combine for prospects to return to school.
  14. I’ll be happy with Arizonas money
  15. I could be wrong but you can declare for the NBA and test the waters and still come back, right? But if they participate in the combine?
  16. Tech trying to buy a national championship with a glorified high school coach who couldn’t win more than 8 games until Oklahoma and Texas left the little 12
  17. I think some are higher at the top specially duke. The boozer brothers were probably around 6 million and thats just with 2 players. I think our number is more closer to being accurate though because you can just see the talent disparity.
  18. Cox for Purdue is going to be hurting as well. I thought in real time he had torn a ligament, but it seems to only be a hyper-extension. Him being hobbled is just as big of an issue as Pope is for us. Whoever he is guarding needs to force him the action.
  19. saw this today. From Duke and Michigan to Texas is $4.5mm. We don’t have to make it all the way there right away but just keep adding each year We aren’t as bad or far off as many would have you believe. And-it’s Millers first year. No one was investing in the prior product. No way Sweet 16 NIL payments: Duke $12.0mm Arkansas $11.5mm Michigan $10.5mm St. John's $10.5mm Arizona $9.75mm Alabama $9.5mm Tennessee $9.5mm UConn $9.5mm Illinois $9.0mm Purdue $8.75mm Michigan State $8.5mm Houston $8.5mm Iowa State $8.25mm Texas $7.5mm Nebraska $6.75mm Iowa $6.25mm
