I will be shocked if Ant stays. Pleasantly surprised, but shocked -

That would be Margueritte Aozasa. Been the HC at UCLA for 4 years winning the national championship in 2022. She the top assistant at Stanford the Cardinal won 2 national championships. Has also coached the U23 national team.

UCLA right?

The UCLA coach just resigned.

Pff shows that we are running man about 10-15% more this year than last. Manny has gone from 17 to 28% for example. -
CDC usually has the next coach lined up when he makes changes.

Texas has to thread the needle between high-school recruiting and the portal, and the margin for error is thin: We must fix the OL with multiple proven guards. We must add a real RB1 from the portal. We must grab starting-level help at CB, S, and LB. And we still have to keep taking smart, long-term OL projects in HS. The portal won’t be cheap, and the staff can’t pretend high school and NIL/portal pools are separate anymore — they’re pulling from the same bank account. Think of it this way: Ohio State won last year’s title in December. Texas lost this year’s run the same way. If Texas is serious about winning a national title in Arch’s final season, this offseason is where it happens. No excuses. No “we ran out of NIL.” No half-measures. This is the fix the roster or waste the window moment.

Do we have a way too early list of possibilities?

No sh*t, Sherlock. My point is acting like we can tell the future of the mistakes the kid would or wouldn’t have made here isn’t realistic.

Let’s not act like we haven’t had a couple of arrests recently. Sure, different charges but we aren’t squeaky clean either. No program is

Texas will hire a very successful replacement. That's all I'll say for now.

Your source of accountability, environment and influences surrounding you play a huge part. Who’s to say if he decided to come to texas the culture sark’s built would’ve made him not make that mistake.

I don’t think we know if the players are meshing with him or not. The head coach has said he wants to play more man. I’m going to trust the DC that has proven to work within the system and adapt as well as the coach with more NFL skins on the wall than most anyone in college football. -
After the season, we took time to reflect on this year, the future of Texas Soccer and where the program is headed. Following thoughtful discussion, we think it is in the best interest of The University of Texas to move in a new direction. Coach Kelly has led this program in a first-class manner and has poured tremendous energy and dedication into our student-athletes and staff over the past 14 seasons. We are grateful for all she has accomplished and for the professionalism, character and pride she has consistently demonstrated. We sincerely thank Coach Kelly for her service to Texas Soccer and to our University, and we wish her all the best in the future." Statement from Ange Kelly: "I am sincerely grateful to have had the privilege to lead the Texas Soccer Program for the past 14 seasons. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to our staff and all of the student-athletes that have represented the burnt orange. I will always cherish the relationships that have been made and will forever hold them close to my heart."

Check out the Nyier Daniels situation. He was the OL from Sydir Mitchell’s school that we were in on I’m fairly certain. I think we ended up second there to Georgia so they saved us again! Thanks Kirby and Bulldog Collective!

Why would you trust someone that has never been good at coaching zone to coach zone well to mesh with our DC that prefers zone? Unless we get a new DC or PK decides to run more man concepts with his defense that is a futile effort. Also the problem is the players aren't meshing with Akina either. -

They’re going to be badass next year. Give Akina a chance to really work the young guys. The Gilbeau experiment was an unfortunate flop but we have a TON of talent and football character back there. Losing a lot, but we have the talent and players to make big leaps. Trust the process Akina will get these dudes back with Huff flexing on them. -

I feel like NIL will get some extra funds knowing we gotta capitalize on the next two years while Arch is still here.
