-- Argyle (Texas) WR Julian Caldwell was on campus yesterday as expected. "It was great!" Caldwell told OTF. "It was a lot of fun getting to watch the super talented receiver room Texas has! I also had a great time catching up with Coach Sark and Coach Jackson and they definitely made a good impression on me and my family." Texas is in the top three with Oregon and Texas Tech. -- The Longhorns offered 2028 Southlake Carroll OT Ty McCurry on his visit yesterday. "The visit was awesome just as last time! Getting to see Coach Flood man the O-line during practice was definitely something I was looking forward to. Then to be able to sit down with him to discuss me being a priority, along with how I'd be utilized was definitely a highlight as well." -- Reminder: STUD Georgia LB Joakim Gouda will be on campus today.

I mean holding on to matas is what you need to do in order to build a program like Gerry is saying miller wants to do! You can’t not pay up if u want to build a program that has no foundations to go with if u don’t retain the players. Thomas haugh was developed by Florida but bet he was asking for more money last year so don’t get why we even mention him as an example if we aren’t willing to spend on players we need to build around. Nah I meant that, since they're already #1 — and they won't pick up many losses in a relatively weak conference — they have a super clear path to staying #1 all season.

They have better wins. Classic dilemma (compare to football playoff debates about 3-loss Texas vs. teams with better records but worse SOS). Not that it matters too much, but that's my take on why they're unanimous No. 1. And with the Big 10 schedule, expect UCLA to be the No. 1 overall seed come tourney time.

Right. Some players that can fire off low with a flat back and drive their feet. Move their feet in pass pro laterally without crossing them over and give a good punch with their hands. I don’t get paid millions, but what the hell? Are we teaching the basics before all these complicated blocking schemes.

Seems like pretty reasonable comments to me. Seems like his agent made a big ask and Texas chose to make an example out of him. I don't blame them for not wanting to be held hostage by every player on the roster. I also don't blame Parker for being bitter and wanting to beat us in Dallas.
