And he took a Rhodes scholarship which looks pretty good on that med school app. Then neurosurg would be a seven year residency not counting additional years for fellowship. So it takes a rare breed to make a crap load of nfl money and then say I’m going to study like crazy for years then be on call every few nights for another 7 years.

He would not being to medical school at Texas for this scenario, he would be doing the premed undergrad courses in the school of natural sciences and majoring in something like biology given that Texas does not have a premed designated major. Medical school is done after you take the prerequisites to take the MCAT and get your science hours. FYI you don’t have to graduate college to get into med school, people bypass that all the time (intellectual freaks). Sure he could go to a med school at / in Texas later on but Stanford does have an undergrad med school route that places you into their medical school after undergrad
