First, it was great to see Derek Cooper in action Saturday night. But I got to thinking about ways to manage all 3 of the primary RB touches as Cooper gets implemented into the offense, and a potential idea crossed my mind. If you used to watch the Dallas Cowboys back when they had Marion Barber at RB, you might remember how they used to deploy him in games specifically in the 4th quarter. And it was a real difference maker watching him come in on fresh legs against a team that had already defended 50plus plays. What about Hollywood and Raleek continuing to share load as they have been the first 3 quarters, and then deploying Cooper in the 4th with fresh legs? Just a fun thought! Yes, we have other offensive items we need to focus on. This was really more a fun thought for those who remember Marion the Barbarian!

Edwards visits Texas for tOSU game and all the feedback is Texas leads. Then, Edwards visits Tech for Coog High game and now all the RPMs are for him to go to Tech. Don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what happened was offered on the Tech visit that wasn’t on the Texas visit? And to whom that offer was made (hint: it’s not necessarily the player making the decision here)?

Three things I recall about that game was watching Bear Bryant during the pregame warmups. He walked down the tunnel and made it as far as the goalposts where stayed during warmups leaning against the post. I was sitting in the home side upper deck about 6 feet from Denver Pyle who was dressed as Uncle Jesse. There was a very large human from Alabama in the men's room that was talking about Texas steers with no balls.

Texas staff will be on the road during the off week recruiting ... I expect a few more 2027 offers to go out this season ... linebacker and safety are definitely possibilities
