  1. Past hour
  2. Her pitching is like batting practice for the other team recently.
  3. I don’t know if I’d say he is happy. I think he just calls it like he sees it.
  4. She’s just bad
  5. Even during the 13 year down period, he’s always seen Texas from that 2005 perspective. Even though he’s a CU alum, I’m sure he’s happy that Texas is this good on the field again.
  6. What time is game today?
  7. Yep; Kelson rocked him. Klatt spent the night in a Houston hospital.
  8. Oh just noticed it said 2028. By then the obvious choice will be: Offense: QB- Arch RB - Arch WR 1,2,3 - Arch TE - Arch No alts Defense: Arch No alts Arch has a Red Bull deal. He has wings. All gas no breaks/brakes. Gold medal: USA
  9. Today
  10. That’s what I was caught up on. If opposing teams “blitz” after 5 seconds or whatever the buffer is, he’s certainly the pick. But otherwise, I like Colt and the accuracy.
  11. My understanding is that "Gig'em" refers to gigging (stabbing with a pointed stick) frogs. I believe it's a reference to TCU. When they say it these days, it basically means "lets go Ags!". They say it after good plays or (more common) in email taglines.
  12. I dont think vince would be as effective in flag as the QB can not run.
  13. If ND is going to remain independent, make them re-hire Spew Holtz.
  14. Any interest in a Collin Johnson 7v7 jump ball option?
  15. Not sure it's so much "trying to get out of it" as "trying to renegotiate the scheduling of it", moving off home-and-home in mid-October, which is the middle of USC's conference scheduling. Apparently all the travel east is weighing on the Trojans so they asked to either schedule the Notre Dame game earlier in the year or, on a four year rotation, play 2 in LA, one game in South Bend and one game at a neutral site closer to LA (Vegas maybe?). Something like that. A bit of a dick move since they can afford to give up the game more than Notre Dame can, but you can sorta see their point. Hard to feel sorry for USC since they joined a conference with teams in Maryland and New Jersey, so knew the travel would be brutal. Best guess - still play it but early in the season? Edit: good article on this topic in Sports Illustrated (where I got my ideas) - USC vs. Notre Dame Football Rivalry Must Continue
  16. Anybody know status of Mac Morgan? Is she hurt or is she being saved for the game tonite?
  17. Article in The Athletic "Ranking the 25 best college football games of the 2000s: Where do Texas-USC, Kick Six rank?" by David Ubben. Probably behind a paywall (link here) but sometimes you get a couple free ones each month. Looking at our two main SEC rivals Oklahoma played in two of those games (both in the Top Five). Shed a tear for our friends on the other side of the Red River because they lost both games, but still they made the list. Texas A&M played in one of those games - as usual, just outside the Top Twenty. Inexplicably they won it. Your Texas Longhorns played in four of the top 16 games, winning 3 of them. I'll admit that one of them was a bit of a surprise to me - recency bias? I won't spoil the ending as to which game was ranked # 1 but it's safe to mention that Vince Young was pretty damn good.
  18. Fever -v- Liberty game on right now. Man, the Liberty are loaded. Both teams running and gunning. On pace to exceed 200 combined points if they keep it up. Natasha Cloud impressive.
  19. ND must join a Power 4 for football (already a member of the ACC for other sports)and play by the same rules as ALL other schools in football.!
  20. A nice visual of my flag football (gold medal winning) Longhorn Team.
  21. Assuming Texas gets 3 or 4 really good HS DL prospects in the '26 class, they won't have to take 5 DL in the December '26/spring '27 portal. Should only have to take 1-3 instead to prepare for the '27 season. After the spring '27 portal haul, Texas should be at the point that (like the OL room) they don't have to hit the portal at all to grab interior DL unless it's a can't miss guy and/or the recent additions don't pan out. Maybe Kenny Baker leaves for a DC job by then, but knowing Sark, he'll have a suitable replacement ready to go with hopefully the best interior DL room in the country to come to.
  22. Rumors are floating the USC is trying to get out of its game with ND. Will it soon be forced to join a conference and will its weak strength of schedule be held against it? They play two ranked teams in week 1 and 2 in Miami (#21) and a&m (23). It’s a joke.
  23. Turns out this team is the diamond version of Brian Ferentz Iowa teams.
  24. I agree with you on this. He seems pretty even handed about Texas even though I think he was the Colorado QB in the 70-0 beat down, right? The other guy I like is Josh Pate even though I think there are a lot of guys who don't like him. The list of guys I wouldn't listen to is lengthy but these two, to use your term, offer 'value added'.
  25. I think Klubnik is a very good player. I just don’t think he’s a 1-1. But I still don’t see that in Cam Ward either.
