How about all that talk about how good Tenn RB game was leading up to Saturday? We shut them down along with the scrambling QB.

No doubt. Entire unit was phenomenal. How about 42 pressures on the day.

How they are able to come up with the skits and put them together pretty much in a day's time is pretty amazing.

They are uber talented but lack the "I'm going to carry this team" person and the leadership that Asjia O'Nel and Madi Skinner has. Unless they get really hot and lucky at the end of the season, it's probably an early exit this year. At this point, they won't even be a regional host which means playing that round in a hostile environment instead of Gregory. Home court advantage is massive in volleyball because of how close the crowd is, especially at Gregory where the volume levels can be deafening for the opponents.

I had to laugh at the celebration mockery, but low-key, the Herbstreet audio issues gag at the end may have been my favorite so far this year. And also ... What a bad look for the nationally televised broadcast.

If OL can be star 1 for tOSU, I’m giving star 1 to the DL. Simmons was crazy good but that was the entire line wrecking shop all game.

And stats won't get Colin to New York by himself. It's unrealistic to expect him to produce every game like he did Saturday vs. the Vols, but he needs to bring it every week. And by bring it every week, he has to be a menace vs. OU, A&M, Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU. The OU OL has stunk so far and it's a big rivalry game. Same with A&M. The games vs. UF and Ole Miss will be huge national TV games. Same goes for LSU, but even more since the Tigers have Jordan Seaton, who is the top OT Colin will face this year. Guys like Suh, Young, and Hutchinson were all pretty much unstoppable during their Heisman finalist seasons and showed up in pretty much every game. Only game I can really think of where one of those guys didn't is when Hutchinson got manhandles by UGA in the playoffs but that game took place after the Heisman ceremony. If I'm being honest I don't think Colin has any chance to win it with him being a defensive player, but he definitely has a chance to make it to New York which would be an amazing accomplishment.

Young finished 4th in the Heisman *** 2021 - Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson - 62 total tackles (36 solo), 16.5 TFLs, 14 sacks, 3 batted passes, 2 FF, 1 FR in 13 games (Michigan played in B10 Championship) Bryce Young won over Hutchinson, CJ Stroud, and Kenny Pickett. Hutchinson finished 2nd in the Heisman *** I know this isn't an exact science and is obviously a hypothetical, especially with 8 SEC games remaining, but if you triple Colin Simmons stats through 4 games: 36 total tackles (27 solo), 25.5 TFLs, 21 sacks, 3 FF, 3 FR in 12 games. Those numbers would put Simmons 4th on the list in tackles, 1st in TFLs, 1st in sacks, 2nd in FF, and 1st in FR.

I really do not care. I am going by what my eyeballs have told me... And IDMAs at this point... Get to the playoffs and see what happens.

3 Stars of the Game vs. Tennessee *** For the second straight week, it is all defense. *** Star #1 – Colin Simmons No explanation needed. The most impressive single game performance I have ever seen. Star #2 – Maraad Watson Watson has exceeded expectations this year and was a force on the interior Saturday vs. Tennessee. Five pressures, a sack and four hurries on the quarterback, that is phenomenal stuff from the defensive lineman. Star #3 – Lance Jackson How about nine total pressures from Jackson. We talk often about who will balance out the opposite side of the defensive line from Colin Simmons, well Jackson did exactly that. Good luck defending both guys if that is the performance Texas is getting from each. Honorable Mentions: Jelani McDonald – Several big tackles, very good in run support and the game-sealing batted pass on the final play of the game. Hero Kanu – As consistent and reliable as anyone on the defense. Four pressures, a sack and two hurries as well. Dominant from Kanu.

He probably still get hit with the belt from his momma, so he was like, “Oh, I know I’ve messed up. Let me have the game of my life and maybe I won’t be in as much trouble.” Reminds me of cleaning the house before my parents got home because I knew the teacher called them. Hey, it worked twice. Colin, we need a few more games like this.
