  1. Past hour
  2. There wasn't as much turnover on the offensive staff this year than defense, obviously. Not ruling out offensive additions to the analyst room, but right now focus on my end remains on the defensive side.
  3. Most interested in seeing if Lee can get back on track. She’s been slumping the last few games now and we will not contend for a chip without her playing well with confidence. Also, I want to see Crump get integrated more into the offense off the bench.
  4. CJ any news on offensive analyst hirings? I feel Sark could still use a few more eyes and data to help him game plan and understand our team better at times.
  5. Great news! Texas guy with the SDE measurables and good production but not a 5* price tag while following 5* Wesley SDE. Texas hit the sweetspot.
  6. A couple of things. One, I doubt Sarkisian will look to tweak Becton's strength training philosophy, but I think a tweak is in store. The big uglies, especially on the offensive side of the ball, under Sarkisian have never been good in short-yardage situations, situations in which you have to generate power and force from the ground up right here right now. Becton's strength training philosophy is a bit strange to me. He focuses on the speed with which you move the bar and not necessarily how much weight you can lift. For strength training, it matters how much you put under the bar. Moving the bar fast does not lead to strength. Two, I don't feel like there is that much leadership the team is losing compared to what remains in that department. Arch. Simmons. Goosby. McDonald. I mean, those four alone had to be four of the top 6, right? The other two to fill it out were likely Hill and Taaffe.
  7. I love Vic. He gets the best out of his girls and does it in a way that his players still feel loved and want to do their best by him. I am glad this group is having to play through some adversity as this hopefully will cause them to keep pressing and peaking at the right time. They have it in them to win it all this year.
  8. literally was about to mention her...she is gonna be a nice weapon next year.
  9. Amalia Holguin, incoming guard next year, and the last and youngest of Kobe's Mamba Team out of Newport, (still in high school) hit for 61 points for Senior Day! She is a great outside shooter. Has an amazing handle and part of the #1 recruiting class in the country.
  10. I should add that the team gets going very very early in the morning for workouts. Nice and brisk this week.
  11. Today
  12. We are finally at full max health capacity. Coach can go 12 deep. The return of Aaliyah Crump brings more offensive fire power to the court. Rori was more offensive minded last game as her midrange jumper is deadly. She still rarely shoots the 3. Jordan Lee has been in a three game shooting slump and we really need her to get back on it. At Coach Vic's recent presser, he was not happy discussing the lack of our three point shooting. It struck a nerve. He also said that the big girls, especially Oldacre, need the ball more in the paint. He loves the team, sees they are very good, but lack toughness at times which challenges him to coach better. He said Ashton Judd and Rori were the only consistent tough girls on the team. I foresee a drubbing of the Gators this evening. Hook'em!
  13. Nothing yet. It will be Muschamp's call should Texas try to add a nickels coach to staff.
  14. Exactly. The SEC championship runs through Athens.
  15. I'm glad our coach doesn't run around like a guy waiting on the bathroom after eating Taco Bell.
  16. It probably will do more to stabilize Nansen's position. Always helps to have another set of eyes...
  17. Baylor or TCU! Let's get the I-35 rivalry cranked back up. I'd love to hand a whoopin' to TCU (Dykes) on a yearly basis!
  18. If Texas is going win a Natty. Sark. must expand our variety of coaches and consultants. We not.only need to have ties to Georgia, Florida and Louisiana and at home in Texas but it is time we have significant leadership that has RECENT ties to the BIG TEN, FCS, and HBCUs. We can no longer be so arrogant as to think our staff and players must come from the same traditional sources they have in the past.  And Finally, we must begin to seriously recruit internationally! We need to lead in this effort, not follow! We need 105 people on our roster and we can develop talent! We'll portal. We need to look at junior colleges (heaven forbid). We're BlueBloods and people want to be part of a BlueBlood program, so let's evaluate potential and find Michael Taafes and others like him. Some have size and physical attributes.  Others are smart, intuitive,  and possess a different set of skills and mind for the game. All of which help to produce a great team. Big Humans and. Skilled people are important,  but indiana just proved heart and culture are also very, very important to winning.  Hook Em!

  19. Nice love what I'm seeing so far from a recruiting stand point and adds on the defensive side.
