  1. Past hour
  2. If Texas gets a mid week with Cooper do we realistically think he would pick Texas over the visits he is doing the full weekend visit for?
  3. Why was it depressing? I remember watching guys on TV literally knock down the wall with sledge hammers. I remember thinking that it was great that I was watching it as it happened, and I understood its significance because I had studied history from ancient Egypt to present day, read Henry Kissinger's memoirs about trying to win the Cold War, but that was it and I was 16.
  4. I love Edwards. He will be a nightmare for defenses on 3rd down.
  5. Not just that, but with the length of the season being what it is, fatigue certainly comes into play. Outside of qb, I think the days of just having your starters and a couple relief guys ready is over. You need to have a plan in place for players to go in and there be no significant drop off in production.
  6. It's the kind of position that is subject to injuries. Even if it's just a tweak, it's a tough position to make it a whole season with no down time. Gotta take 2.
  7. Today
  8. Someone asked what I was doing in Athens, Georgia in November 1989 if I went to high school in Gilmer, TX. I went there in June 1989 to stay with my best friend. His mom was a professor of Entomology at UGA.
  9. Exactly. They need to settle this like adults.
  10. Drove through Gilmer for the first time in a couple years. Reminded of the Berlin Wall falling on 9 November 1989. I was sixteen in Athens, Georgia when it happened. Graduated from high school close to Gilmer five months before. I remember thinking that day that it was the culmination of two world wars, the cold war and the entire twentieth century. The US was literally about to dominate the world. It was exhilarating and depressing at the same time.
  11. They just need to meet up at the playground at the park after school.
  12. That’s what I should have said my bad. I bet they get KJ I just don’t think cooper and the Alabama RB will come to Texas unfortunately
  13. ESPN has really gone downhill with some of the people they have hired. I don't like Ryan Clark, am ambivalent about RG3 regarding his sportscasting but do not dislike his personality, and have never liked Orlovsky. I don't have time to mention others that I like or dislike. Those shows are now 4 or 5 people sitting around beating a horse to death. Not long ago there was one where the commentators spent about 30 min. talking about some players tweet.
  14. 4-star RB Carsyn Baker (Fairburn, Ga./Langston Hughes) is also a possibility for a June OV.
  15. And on 5-star RB Derrek Cooper (Hollywood, Fla./Chaminade-Madonna) ... Cooper still plans to make a June OV to Texas. OTF believes it will be a mid-week OV barring a change.
  16. I think Edwards is a lock, but you never know in this era of recruiting with NIL. They'll take two for sure. Would be shocked if they didn't, but there's always the portal if they don't
  17. Nope! Texas wants two ... see if they get the two they want.
  18. Thanks to Coach White for his time this morning and good luck to his Horns against Clemson! Shout out to Bob's Chop House as well. If you're keeping score: Mike White - Bob's Chop House Bob Bowman - Whataburger Vic Schaefer - Capitol Grille
  19. No, Texas only signs 3 stars!
  20. Don't know who they'll sign. Too early to tell, but if you get 2 of those 3, that would be a helluva of an OL haul. Then you have another loaded HS OL class in the '27 cycle. Texas' trenches will be set for years to come.
