How am I taking it too seriously? A high school kid has the nerve to challenge an all pro NFL corner. What's a common trait for this community isn't common for me. You won't find me on many if any threads talking projection over production. Basketball and football are totally different sports. If I have a quicker step than you I can get to the cup and use the rim as a protector. In football even if I beat you off the line and do all the things, but the QB is late and throws it inside and high that's a pbu or a pick. I think Mike bimonte is a guy that has the brightest future among the offensive assistants. With an explosive offensive year I could see him and AJ moving on to run sarks offense at another school.

I wish Sauce would have taken him up on his challenge and showed his the difference in strength, technique, and craftiness. These two aren't on the same planet when it comes to skill. Size and speed don't matter when you're going against someone who can neutralize it.

I would agree, however they have a very very good coach in Cignetti. That dude just wins every where he goes. Do I think he will get developed the same. No. Do I think IU will be a winning program. As long as Cignetti is there. Absolutely. All I am saying is dont put the cart before the horse. IUs offensive scheme is good, and they play disciplined ball. And lets not forget, Texas spent a while walking through the wilderness before they got their footing back as well.

Yeah it's an old school rivalry from the Southwest Conference days. This article written by Blake a little over a year ago explains it well, although it's referring to football. Not sure Texas has a rival in basketball on that level right now. Maybe Texas-Florida can become that level of rivalry in the SEC if Miller and Golden stick around at their respective schools and Texas can start winning some games against Golden over the next few years.
