It should be noted that playing a softer schedule keeps guys fresh and healthy. They were blowing out competition most of the year. That’s not to take anything away from their amazing coach and discipline and play. Just pointing out that a key injury can throw off everything. They avoided that. Would they have avoided it with some other tougher schedules? I think they are still the best team in college football as they are now and if they stayed healthy with anyone’s schedule, they still would be but would they have stayed as healthy.

We are lucky to have actual professionals covering our beloved horns. There are a lot of clowns in this industry.

You know what they say about luck..... It's when opportunity meets preparation. I agree with you on things broke in their favor more often than not. I also think they had a week schedule. (Regular season game against Oregon being their only real challenge ... Next difficult was late season Penn State). What has impressed me is the 2 Oregon games and the Ohio State game. They seem to be unflappable in the face of their best competition.

There is no way that’s possible. 11 starters and only 2 subs across those positions a whole game? Doesn’t add up but I understand the point, they have their guys they want on the field and only play a select handful. Makes sense

Saturday morning: - NC State transfer running Hollywood Smothers is on campus in Austin currently. - Pitt linebacker Rasheem Biles is also expected on campus today. Like Smothers, Biles is an All-ACC performer. - Yale OL Mikey Bennett remains on campus from his visit that began yesterday. The Longhorns really like the two-time Ivy Leaguer. - Some folks have asked about the running back situation with Smothers visiting Austin today. Here’s what I’ve learned: RB Christian Clark has agreed to a new deal with Texas but the new deal is not signed. RB Raleek Brown has signed with Texas.
