You can start with Kevin Marr, big 12 official from Omaha, NE. Whenever the Horns drew that crew, it felt like a Mafia scum fix. JMO

Gerry, I made it to about 1:15 in & had to turn it off. Maybe Kiffin is an acquired taste - at 66 I don't think it's in the cards for me.- 1 reply

Is Jelani McDonald officially back in 4 as well? That might confirm which side of the ball Bishop will start out at even though most of us assume he'll start out on offense.
-
Well, these days...if he has a good attorney he could have another 5-6 seasons! Hook 'Em!

Good luck to the young man. I always remember Stan Thomas at #51. I was at the $MU game in Dallas back in the day when the Ponies were just coming off the Death Penalty and they had a collection of players that resembled an intramural team. Big Stan Thomas had been wearing out the $MU player across from him and finally, the guy let go with a cheap shot to Stan's Nether Region. Total blindside shot-- the worst I've ever seen. Stan buckled to the turf. The officials threw flags and caps and the offending $MU player was kicked out of the game. The benches cleared, but no fight ensued. I thought the Longhorns almost felt sorry for them because the physical size and talent mismatches were so obvious. Best wishes to Turntine and Hook 'Em!

I've always thought that #99 looked cool on both the home and away Longhorns jerseys. Same for #88.

I've called those years as the "Decade of Doom," because it certainly felt like a Decade. I began following the Longhorns in 1968, and the "Decade of Doom" was the only period of time when I got depressed and almost gave up hope. I was disappointed when the Horns lost to the Washington Huskies because they felt so close to winning it all, but Texas ran into the hottest opposing QB I've ever seen. I'm happy with the program under Steve Sarkisian because I remember '10-'15 so vividly. Hook 'Em! -

Pete Kwiatkowski Finds a New Gig
Neil Leininger replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
He really has nothing left to prove at the college level. He was an elite Coordinator at 3 different schools and 2 different levels. At 59, he probably has a good 8-10 years left. -
Based on 247Sport, Texas offer 14 OTs and only 4 IOLs (2027).
-
No recruiting duties. That's a win for him.

I think the issue there is going to be twofold: 1.) tackles don’t make very good centers; 2.) tackles are more expensive than guards, so your NIL budget is going to take a hit every year to get high-dollar players who may not convert well.
-
Guard is always a tough position to find. I wonder if they are just gonna go with tackles, have them play guard until they get a chance to kick out to their natural position. Would create a lot of versatility on the line
-
Floods issue seems to be finding people movers at guard. He knows how to find and develop offensive tackles. Find any road graders that are of this dudes status and give them a godfather type of NIL offer.

In Coach Vic's five years at Texas....

Our incoming girls are all quite capable of hitting threes. Holguin has a deadly shot from the outside. Ashton Judd and Jordan Lee were supposed to be our snipers this year, but have failed miserably. Aaliyah Crump has hit a freshman wall after coming back from injury, so you can't count on her three point shot. What I don't get is why Preston, Harmon, and Booker are so afraid to shoot the three.
