  1. Past hour
  2. Good Lord. When the writer admits it’s a stupid take in the first two paragraphs of the article you know it’s trash. I stopped there. Yes, Arch is average right now. Why it’s worthy of this drivel I have no idea.
  3. All I was thinking about when USF made that game winning FG was Heze Kent and K.Guervil standing on the Florida sideline thinking to themselves WTF?
  4. Sorry but playoff berths count for more than a big showing against Tech and a one great half (sadly, the first) against OU in 2021. You can’t judge an offense on a game and a half, one of which was a sorry team.
  5. This conversation is so pointless and ignorant. An appropriate comparison for Arch isn’t Joe Burrow from 2019 or the NFL—it’s 2018 Joe Burrow. That’s first-year starter, third-year Joe Burrow. It’s 58% completion, 16 TDs, and 133 PER Joe Burrow. 133 PER is bad. But we don’t judge Joe Burrow by those full-season stats because he wasn’t fully developed yet! We really can’t judge Arch until the end of 2026, which follows his development curve. These overreactions just make no sense whatsoever.
  6. PK’s defenses have improved every year since he’s been here and went from god awful, to really good, to elite once Nansen joined his staff and tied the front to the back. As crazy as it sounds, Sark’s best offense at Texas was his first season with a healthy Casey Thompson, Worthy, Bijan, and Roschon. Made good throws in the short and intermediate game along with a great deep ball. Red zone was really good too.
  7. Four, three, and even two. “We play too soft”, “can’t stop the run”, where’s the QB pressure” were constants until last year.
  8. Cool. Hopefully the Heisman and first pick in the 26 draft noise stops too.
  9. 4* but after year 1 PK has improved his unit every year he's been here. While Sark has improved from year one the past 3 years have been stagnant in terms of improving the offense while the talent level dramatically increased from year one. This also includes red zone offense regressing every year since year one.
  10. Funny, three years ago everyone was calling for PK’s head on a platter. Memories can get really selective.
  11. I think average is a fair take right now some good, some bad. I’ve yet to see him really make a layered throw with one exception
  12. The defensive tackles play with far better leverage. So much so they are getting real push against the rush. Every now and again they get too far up field and create rushing and cutback lanes. All and all I enjoy Baker much more than Bo.
  13. I'm excited for this match up! Nebraska 3-0'd them in a early season match up.
  14. Nope 🤣 we are enamored with ourselves and don't listen to outside noise. We are the University of Texas, not the University of USA Today. Their opinion doesn't matter.
  15. 🤣 not leaving my couch today. Guess I gotta bring the StandbyMe to the living room.
  16. I like the way you watch football and not just look at it.
  17. Year 3 yes, but year one of this roster with far less experience and twice the expectations.
  18. I'd say the biggest problem Texas has so far is penalties. Penalties basically gave Ohio State one score, and penalties were responsible for much of the lack of consistent offense against SJSU. We must be close to the top for holding and false start and procedure penalties.
  19. Let’s go ladies! 🤘
  20. They also loaded up in the portal.
  21. Today
  22. I don't expect every game to be 70-0. I expect the team to look well coached especially considering the amount of snaps the players have over the course of the past few years that are now starters. One side of the ball lives up to that, the other does not and it's been that way for going on 3 years now. We do not have an identity on offense since Sark has been here....there is not one thing you can point to and say yes that is Texas offense under Steve Sarkisian. We are just a jack of all trades that are above average to good across them but a master of none. That lack of identity is why we continually struggle in the red zone.
  23. agree to disagree. they were able to play keep away against us and convert manageable third downs with passes and runs. they were coached well and did not beat themselves with penalties and got their QB in a rhythm early on. When they needed plays, they made them. They're ranked #1 for a reason...until they're not, they're the front runner. hopefully, we can get Arch in a rhythm early on and convert third downs at a better rate going forward. until then, we have a lot of improvements to make.
