CJ, was it purely just lack of interest on Sanchez’s part towards Texas, or was it another reason he seemed to sour on TX. I mean after the last two years of playing well and developing talent, I would have thought he would have at list visited.

USA Basketball would get clobbered in international competition if they went back to old rules. That was the problem they had when the world caught up. The US just depended on size and athleticism, but they had a lack of skill. I would say go back to resetting the shot clock to a full 24, and bring back illegal defense where everyone has to guard a man.

FWIW, bonus ceiling for players taken in the 11th-20th rounds is $150K. Anything over that counts against a team's bonus pool for the first 10 rounds.

I have a question for this group. Are there no rules around visits by the coach to batters? It seemed the Tech coach had a huddle with each batter that came up. I always thought the umpires were break those up after multiple visits in the same inning.

I wouldn’t think Flores would go very high in the draft. It is true though……that waiting until their senior year isn’t going to be much of a bonus at all.

Zaharias, Werchan, Sanders and O'Hara were gone before the start of the season.

My gut tells me Texas would've put up more of a fight to keep him if an upgrade wasn't on the way.

It wouldn't have been better than it was in 2024. The staff almost had to deal with a player revolt heading into the NCAA Tournament.

I'm sure he would, but Galvan and Flores (even though he didn't have a great year) would cost themselves a lot of money by not taking the signing bonus they'd get in the draft. Seniors in the draft have no leverage and sign for peanuts.
