  2. Christmas day is the best day. Food court me.... Now go watch WNBA and leave this discussion to the adults
  3. Go watch a wnba game. This stuff is out of your element We sell 47k tickets every year old chap. I’m fairly certain you’re trolling.
  4. I agree that the Big Ten has not had much success compared to the SEC and or head to head vs the SEC. OSU has won 3 Championships since 2000. We "OSU" have had the talent to be in the conversation and a NC title contender numerous times but many years we underperformed or were overhyped. The SEC currently has more depth of quality teams than the Big Ten. The Big Ten top 3-4 can compete and sometimes you get a surprise team that is pretty good. Maybe Illinois this year. I was not sold on Indiana last year and especially this year. I bleed Scarlet and Gray but appreciate watching good college football. Good luck Saturday in the shoe, but hoping you go home with an "L"
  5. Eric Metcalf was a freak. As well as being an all around weapon on the football field, he was a 2 time NCAA long jump champion. I wish he would have been in an offense that could have better utilized his skills. He was a talent that was ahead of his time.
  6. I gotta go Eric Metcalf. But that’s a great list of players that wore #2.
  7. Join us for Coffee and Football this morning beginning at 8:15 AM. We’ll talk Texas and take your questions. And by “at” I mean “around”
  8. Look at the Buckeye with the Texas obsession.
  9. ROJO may not be the best player with that number, but he is certainly the most beloved here.
  10. Today
  11. one of my favorites back in the day. Lubbock’s own Taje Allen. Played several years in the League and won a Super Bowl with the Rams. Also was Rod Weaver’s roommate for the Sugar Bowl, doh!
  12. All fine choices. Gotta pick Rojo. Big piece in getting Texas back.
  13. We are now just two days away from the Longhorns opening the season against the Buckeyes. Who is your favorite player to wear No. 2 for Texas? Options today include… Roschon Johnson Eric Metcalf Matthew Golden Jerry Gray
  14. Definition of great product placement. A QB who shits the bed, repping Dude wipes. Get that minty fresh smell, when you stink it up on the field.
  15. Arch is ready. Just need the rest of the offense to show up as well. Looking mainly at O line.
  16. How can he not? He remembers 70-3. He knows what good Texas looks like first hand.
  17. This is second-year Sayin's first start, and it's against one of the top (if not THE top) defenses in college football with elite pass rushers and defenders everywhere. The buckeyes will have to try to run the ball because their passing game could get very ugly. I expect at least two Sayin turnovers. Arch has an extra year of tutelage in Sark's system and about three games of live experience which is very significant by comparison. That will be the difference in the game.
  18. It's not the long history with the SEC; rather it's lack of Big 10 success this century. As a Buckeyes fan, I'm sure you can sympathize with the view that Michigan's 2023 title is illegitimate. Add that to the fact Ohio State gets most of its quality players from Florida, Texas, Georgia and California, and the point is clear. Urban made the recruiting switch to the South because, after coaching Florida to two titles, he knew the Midwest talent couldn't cut it. Outside of Ohio State's 2002 title, there isn't much there for Big 10 country to proudly claim.
  19. Ah yes, the SEC and the Texas Longhorns. Such a long history.
  20. I might be one of the few, but I think Meyer would also do really well at Texas. In saying that, his top two landing spots were Ohio State and Florida, both are hot beds for talent and blue bloods sin their own right, no? Now in saying that, he's one of the great college HC's in the last 20 years, imo. Though he has a lot to dislike about him, especially around the culture he would foster that went on for many years. But in saying all that, I'm glad we have Sark and that despite the rough going early on, he's taken Texas to new heights and I hope he sticks with us for the next 20 years lol.
  21. My favorite line from criminal sooner fans over the last couple of 6-7 seasons has been the "This is Oklahoma!" refrain when expressing surprise about their struggles. It's a good lead into pointing out to them that since everyone can pay players now, their cheating advantage days are over. Differently stated, it's not a coincidence they dropped precipitously as soon as everyone could legally pay players. Correlation is not cause, but causality is dynamic temporally speaking.
  22. It's a recruiting strategy. Every year OU alumni and fans max out their credit limits to drive to Dallas, exhausting OU's only pool of NIL donations. Takes them the full year to get caught up on the gas card.
  23. ugh. This thread just reminded me that we have Gus Johnson's histrionics on the call Saturday.
  24. Arch will probably do more QB sneaks than Quinn. For some reason Quinn looked so awkward trying to do those lol.
