I just don’t understand it from Nico’s perspective, especially given the timing. Sometimes we gotta remember that these kids don’t always have people around them that want what’s best for the kid. I have no idea if that is happening here but it’s not always the kid is all I’m saying. Very interested to see how this plays out.

With Rori coming back I’m not sure they target another guard but Vic could value bringing in more dynamism and scoring after missing on Chavez. However, I don’t think Fulwiley would even pick Texas. She will be looking for a coach that allows her to play with freedom offensively so I’m thinking maybe a Maryland, NC State, TCU potentially. But this is all my speculation and I have no info on what she will do.

I’m hoping they meltdown to end the year and just have it be a completely ugly year or as a consolation I hope they play just well enough to get Aggie hopes up only to fall on their faces lol

See, this is part of the NIL stuff that I don't like. I'm all for players getting paid, but now it's starting to be more and more like the NFL. This is just stupid, imo.

This will be the new norm, because college athletes are now getting paid. Quinn was the first to leave high school early and take an NIL deal, and now how many early entries do we have in the spring, that should either be high school juniors or seniors right now? The game has changed. No longer is every kid so in love with the university that they'll turn a blind eye to green money. Plus, we only know what the media is telling us about the situation. There's two sides to every story. Maybe they promised some things that didn't come to fruition. You don't know.

Was is right for Duke to send Malik packing after a 9 win season at Duke, and then pay a kid 8 million for two years to take his spot? When it's the organization making the call, there's no outrage. When it's the player over the organization, you don't hear any push back.

Yeah I know the rule - you REALLY think someone is going to pay him $4-6 million NIL to sit on the bench a year, then he could simply move on again? No way.

I’m still thinking USC is behind all this Nico drama. He’s a SoCal kid, and Lincoln Riley has a track record with QBs who offer the run/pass option, even if they lack passing accuracy. USC can’t go into next season with J.Maiava at the starting QB, can they?

With a game-manager at QB they're probably in the same spot. That team lived and died with their running game and defense. I don't recall one game that swung their way because of Nico put the team on his back. Regardless, I don't have an issue with these guys making money but there is a right and wrong way to go about it and leaving your team high and dry when you are one of the leaders ain't it.

Dude was ass. He didn’t make Tennessee what they were. 12 of his 19 passing touchdowns were against teams that were a combined 18-32. He was a non factor in most of their bigger games. This isn’t pearl clutching or not. At 2 million based off his results this season he’s paid above what he should be. Holding out isn’t the new norm, in fact he’s the first to do it. Not replying to text or calls from your teammates or coaches isn’t the new norm. It’s downright selfish stupid behavior. What you have is a helicopter dad that’s about to torpedo his kids future.

NFL GM's are aware that they will be in such situations. They get out ahead of it early and sign guys to deals before there forced to.. like Jerry was. It's par for the course, you guys just clutch your pearls because it's college football, and this has been nowhere near the norm. Now... you're opinion is he wasn't worthy of what he was able to negotiate, but remove him off that roster... and go thru this season after he lead that team and university to the CFBP.. 🤷🏿‍♂️. They made a lot of money off that 🍑 kicking they took in Columbus. Just saying...🤷🏿‍♂️. This is an example of who and what you believe in coming back to bite you in the 🍑. Capitalism.. at its finest. I totally understand where you're coming from. The thing is, we aren't privy to the absolutes, only what's being portrayed.. and the establishment always has the ability to speak from a position of power. I know don't see Nico as "that guy"... but where would Tennessee and Heupul be without him?
