If Tech going on a spending spree prevents OU from winning again I’m all for it. I don’t think they will spend like this post Canady, so this might be their last shot at winning a softball natty for a while. Hopefully Texas doesn’t get complacent and balances being aggressive in the portal to fill immediate needs while ensuring they can retain most of their current roster. If they find a good backup to Kavan, a better infielder, and another bat to replace the departures of Mia Scott and Joley Mitchell, they have as good of a shot as anyone to defend their title. I don’t see anyone besides Texas, OU, or Tech winning the softball natty in 2026. That will be your preseason top 3 for sure.

Don't get it. US told Israel to hit em or they wouldn't have hit em. They hit em with US weapons. Markets clutch pearls. Ain't no clutching. Only thing more certain is that sun will rise tomorrow.

Let Baxter rest the first 4 games and hopefully be as close to 100% by the time SEC play starts

Rosen literally told me Protestantism is scientific skepticism and the Enlightenment. "Do you understand that's the greatest development in world history?" "I think I do, yes sir." "Then explain it to me in writing."
-
Wrote thesis on the transcendental analytic in Kant's Kritik der reinen Vernunft. Rosen hammered me. Said I failed to properly analyze and explain the Kantian cogito. He could have told me that while I was writing the thesis under his direction, but he didn't. Had to write it again.
-
The next year we were studying Kant and Hegel in a class on German Idealism. Won't say I was lost, but I wasn't killing it. Again, went to his house. His wife gave me cookies. Then I talked with Mr. Rosen and his daughter, who was the same age as me, about the use of profanity and violence in Pulp Fiction. Then he took me back to his office. Like talking to the Godfather in the inner sanctum. Told me Nietzsche was a pansy and Hegel was Jules and Kant was Vincent and I needed to deal with it.

First Title IX lawsuit has been filed after the House ruling. Don't think this has legs in the long run. Title IX is opportunity equity, not money. May get a district court to pull a wild one, but won't pass higher levels of judicial scrutiny. Differently stated, it's about monetary revenue. Keep pointing this out, but media doesn't seem to get it. This is about an individual proving that he or she is being financially harmed by the terms of this deal based on the real level of their contribution to revenue generated or the willingness of a third party to compensate them with a marketing deal. Absent a contractual agreement from the players as such, there's no legally binding limitation.

Can’t blame aggie or anyone for playing within the new rules. One thing Coach White said the other day that I took note of. He said we don’t want to bring in players and recruit over ones we have. Benefit of a doubt to a man who just won a title but I personally don’t mind bringing in players if they improve the team. Maybe he didn’t mean that.
-
Feel like the team deserves to be kept in the conversation after their accomplishment. Looks like Coach is bringing in a pretty talented class, one of the players just won Gatorade player of the year. Hopefully fill in the holes left by key departing seniors. Get Kavan some help while shoring up the defense and the team is well positioned to defend their title next year. Separately. sand aggy is straight up not even hiding the fact that they are going all in on spending money signing about 5 of the top portal players and having their lower ranked players pack their bags.
