New 2027 EDGE offer out of Memphis, TN White Station EDGE Antwan Jackson

This was CJ's first year of running the offense from under center. He's still kinda young. He still has lots to learn. And yeah, dude definitely stunk it up in the playoffs but finished the regular season 11th in QBR ratings...behind a below average OL and a running game missing its RB1 all season. Definitely needs to learn how to eat the ball better and live to fight another down. Turnovers in the playoffs were brutal. NFL radio heads in Htown indicated the receivers were an issue in the last playoff game, more so than the OL. Like really bad according to them. Also complained about how the team used Nico all season. Would like to see Nico moving all over the place to make it harder on defenses to scheme. I've written this before. I would really like to see what CJ can do behind a better OL.

Love the site and YouTube channel! I know you mentioned it's difficult to do but think an all 22 breakdown with you and Rod breaking it down on the site or even YouTube would be really neat. I've seen a few other channels do it and think it's a great tool to really breakdown what is happening in a play. @Bobby Burton as a UT football history nut, would definitely love to see OTF trivia night come back! Thanks for all y'all do!

You guys do it all—recruiting, portal, high school coverage, team notes, content on SEC and national competition, breaking down positions, bringing on great interviewees, the broader Texas sports ecosystem. You are also more customer-facing and interactive than anyone else out there. It’s hard to imagine what else you could do to improve the product. A few suggestions (these are just things I’ve personally enjoyed in the past rather than need-to-haves) would be to bring back one of the Texas football trivia competitions for a one-off show. That was extremely entertaining. Also, I don’t know how hard it would be to get Sark on the YT channel, but would love to see y’all interview him like you did CDC. I also echo the suggestion above to include more player interviews like Goosby, which was one of the better player interviews I’ve seen recently. I know that’s also Third and Longhorn’s thing.

There’s no sure-thing interior OL left in the portal, but that doesn’t mean Texas is out of options. The portal is still full of linemen without homes, and if you’re smart, you’re digging through FCS and D2 tape for cheap guys with size and traits. Not every answer has to be a headline. Texas can put five starters on the field right now. The issue is how thin the margin is if one interior spot struggles. “Probably fine” is not a real plan when you’re trying to protect Arch Manning. The good news is the solution might already be in the building. Baker probably fits better at guard, and Cojoe could be the swing piece if he’s healthy. Let Cojoe and Siani fight it out at tackle, slide the loser inside, and suddenly the line looks a lot sturdier. No panic. Just competition. And don’t be shocked if the fix comes from the roster instead of the portal.

As part of your coffee and football show planning, maybe you could pick a few topics and post a poll here to rate levels of interest from the group? I think you’re covering the bases pretty well already, but could be nice to increase engagement. It could also be fun to do short features ranking Top 5 Offensive/Defensive plays of the game, or offseason areas for improvement for individual players. Just spitballing! By and large, you’re giving us superlative coverage. No overhaul needed, but always room for a beneficial tweak. 🤝

What did you dislike? What would you change? Appreciate you all for the feedback and look forward to building in 2026!

Miami had the best d-line in the country so that's probably not the best measuring stick. Still, IU gave up 3 sacks and rushed for 131 yards, just 8 yards lower than Texas' season average. They held up pretty well given the level of competition. IU had more rushing yards against Miami than aggy, OSU, or Ole Miss. Texas would have to show significant improvement to match IU's line.

They're overrated. Just throw a DT in there.
