@Blake Munroe has mentioned this throughout the week and Schloss mentioned it on Wednesday, but rest for the high-level pitchers on the roster is of the utmost importance this weekend. Schloss said that Ruger Riojas is dealing with shoulder tendonitis, so you're probably not going to see him this weekend. The same goes for the position players. Ethan Mendoza, for example, still isn't ready to play in the field and he isn't expected to this weekend.

Cody Howard (0-0, 7.45 ERA) will get the ball for Texas (40-12, 19-10 SEC) against Arkansas (37-19, 17-13 SEC) in the first of two SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Hoover, Ala. The winner of today's game will face the winner of the second quarterfinal between third-seeded Texas A&M and sixth-seeded Auburn, which is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. As always during the postseason, keep an eye on the weather in case it changes the schedule.

Men are ranked 3rd at Scoreboard and 4th in coaches poll. That translates to reaching semifinals in match play for 82.5 points. Women are ranked 5th in both, which projects to reaching match play for 72.75 points. Both have a floor of 30th for reaching nationals which would be just 44 points. Top 15 teams after 3 rounds play a 4th to cut to final 8 for match play. -
Who's the worst QB in this picture?

How many future NFL players were on that 2005 team? A whole bunch. The starting receivers, the two deep at RB including the FB, Three OL were multi year starters in the league. The entire starting DL and DBs. I won’t even comment on those who were redshirting or injured: McCoy, Finley, Muckelroy, Shipley I think Newton, Burrow or Tebow would have somehow hung in there. -

And Ohio State’s second and third stringers would beat Texas. Just worry about beating the shitty teams on your schedule -

We are officially 99 days from the start of the college football season! My mental health needs it to fly by. I hope sark keeps giving us some great offseason content throughout June-July that’s for sure!

I think it is a serious question. It deserves more analysis than can be applied to it through the media and the public relations machine. But there is no actual mechanism for in depth analysis available for the sports realm. Were there such a mechanism one could weigh each case individually. For instance, one could determine if the player bet on games in which he actually played. One could determine if the addiction to gambling remained a great future risk for the individual. One could closely monitor the player going forward. Without that certainty of investigation, analysis, and surveillance it makes sense to have a one size fits all answer - and that answer must be "No." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I concede that the level of intrusion I imagine above is technologically feasible, so that it may become a reality both in sports and in our daily lives, and not just in the worlds of counter-intelligence and industrial espionage. We won't like that. -
