I'm in a weird place mentally with Sark. I think Sark is a good coach, a great offensive mind, a fantastic recruiter, and that what he's done for this program over the last five years has been incredible overall despite a few bumps along the way (particularly this year). If he leaves, we face a real risk of backsliding, massive roster attrition, etc. That said, part of me does wonder who we could land if he did leave while the roster is still loaded and the athletic department as a whole is in great shape, and whether that coach might not be better long term. I'm kind of okay with either path at this point, I guess.

Could be both for all I know but I was specifically talking about his Sark comments.

I don't think a power running game is a priority for Sark. It's not in his DNA. He's a finesse offensive coordinator. He builds his offensive side of the ball from the outside in. When it works and he has the perfect personnel like at Bama in 2020 it's a thing of beauty. When it doesn't it's a total s-show. Sark benefitted from three tough ass NFL running backs that Herman left behind. Once they left he’s done nothing to replace them.

That was THE worst play calling of Sark's career. Some serious evaluation needs to take place at the end of the season. He has been out coached 3 consecutive times by smart and it wasn't questionable. Complete preparation domination.

I don’t think he is fully healthy and is being rushed back as a “savior” of this defense.

Sark needs to hire a coordinator, bottom line.

What % would you put on Sark leaving after the season?

Kirby is 3-0 vs sark therefore he can say whatever he wants. Don’t like it then stop losing to them.

I’m not sure what’s more predictable: Sark collapsing in top 5 matchups, or you showing up to whine any time someone points it out.

Is it if Dia Bell decommits, and Arch decided to transfer? I’m not sure you can definitively say that… best case scenario we would replace Sark with a guy like Freeman… but say that doesn’t happen and we have to go for a lesser known commodity then what?

Dan lanning would be at the top of the list for me. Dude will get a team ready to play. Intensity always high.

I love Sark and want him as the leader of our program and still support him even despite this year not being ideal. However with all the smoke that's been coming out recently you have to think there's something of substance in the back that's brewing and bound to come out. Either way i just want the best for the football team and if we do have to get a new coach next year i hope our admins are ready and not caught with their pants down
