One of my pet peeves is when people make very generalized, sweeping statements that classify each and every individual the exact same way based on one factor alone. Is money/NIL a factor in transferring? Yes. But can the players also be appreciative and respectful on their way out? Yes. Two things can exist at once, it doesn’t always have to be one or the other.

Man, I was hoping it was gonna be more of a scrimmage rather than an open practice. I am pretty jealous of those programs who have a tradition of well attended spring games.

I can't imagine there will be a ton of live good-on-good given Sark's openness about not wanting a spring game.

This fan-friendly event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with the opening of the Football Fan Day Street Fest, the annual Team Shop Fire Sale, and photo opportunities with Bevo XV and Smokey the Cannon. Beginning at 11 a.m., fans can get their first glimpse of the 2026 Texas Football team during its only open practice of the season. Following practice, fans are invited down to the field for player autographs or photo opportunities with Head Coach Steve Sarkisian, Texas Cheer, Texas Pom, Hook 'Em, and more. The first 5,000 fans at the Football Fan Day Street Fest will receive a FREE Texas Football "Nothing Less Than Legendary" rally towel. Admission to all Fan Day activities is FREE for all fans!

The SEC goes one year without a football or men's basketball national championship and the league is crumbling. If that's enough of a reach, leave it to our friends in College Station to once again take the opportunity to blame Texas (I love the "conference pride" comment, BTW. As if the Aggies have contributed to the SEC's success for generations).

They're certainly following the same blueprint that Nebraska football followed that led to their decline post-2001. Hard to believe the program has fallen this far since the Pat Summitt days. They probably should do a hard reset and find a new head coach and go from there.
