  2. 2027 QB Jerry Meyer III sophomore tape; https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19665053/66c9f2bf922f7c8e9dbc6a11 Had one of the most prolific passing seasons in Nevada state history before moving to waxahachie last fall.
  3. 2027 Waxahachie EDGE Sedrick Marsh Jr. is blowing up. Just received A&M this morning. 6-5 edge rusher... Didn't see much varsity action last fall. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/23042299/6750dd599405b796319f7738

  5. First stop this week is at Wacahachie High a bit south of Dallas. Plenty of talent, headlined by 2026 WR Kohen Brown, who just decomitted from USC. 2027 QB Jerry Meyer III is a really interesting quarterback prospect to keep tabs on. Texas visited a week ago and is set to return on Thursday for one final look. 2027 DB JayQuan Snell is a huge DB prospect next cycle. He reminds me a ton of Jelani McDonald from a physicality and measurables perspective. He visited in early April.
  6. There’s a good chance. Only LSU and Arkansas can possibly catch us. But… We’ve already really clinched vs LSU, as even if we don’t win again and LSU wins out, we’d end up tied, and we swept the series against them… giving UT the tiebreaker. Our magic number over Arkansas is two. Arkansas hosts a VERY capable Tennessee squad for their last three games. Any combo of Texas wins and Arkie losses, adding up to two is a UT outright SEC Championship. If the same “magic total” is just one, we end in a tie with Arkie, but they swept us and would own the tiebreaker. Sooo… even if TX loses the OU series 1-2, they still win the SEC if Arkansas doesn’t SWEEP a very good Tennessee team. If OU breaks out the brooms and Texas limps out of the season that way, Arkansas must at least win their Tennessee series 2-1 to claim a tie & win via the tiebreaker.
  7. I researched this once and I believe Jimbo was the last to do it in 2013 as you noted. Prior to that I believe it was Steve Spurrier and Tom Osbourne in the 90s. There is some debate about Pete Carroll at USC in 2003/2004 but I couldn't find anything definitive regarding that but I do know that Norm Chow was his OC. So you essentially have only 3 coaches in the past 35 years to do it, 4 if you include Pete Carroll.
  8. Out of curiosity, if Sark wins a natty this upcoming season, would he be the first HC that called his own offensive or defensive plays to win it all? I believe Jimbo was the offensive playcaller in 2013 when he won it all, but I would have to research and find out.
  9. While LaVell's teams had really good offenses he cut his teeth and came up on the defensive side as he was BYU's defensive coordinator before becoming HC.
  10. Today
  11. Quinn might be paying more in taxes this year than his guaranteed money
  12. Not much new. Texas staff has been on the road seeing top 2026 and 2027 prospects. This weekend is the “live period” for evaluating AAU in person. Texas staff will be scattered at Nike EYBL, Adidas 3SSB, Under Armour and Puma tournaments As far as last three scholarship possibilities for the 2025-26 season, Texas is going very slow. They will likely use two more for sure.
  13. Quinn was frustrating at times but he's still a big part of why Texas is rolling right now. He left money on the table so he could finish as a Longhorn. I hope he has the biggest chip on his shoulder and proves everyone wrong.
  14. any updates on Xavier Filsaime? he was pretty highly recruited and a big flip from Florida. Haven't heard about him much from this Spring. thanks!
  15. @Gerry Hamilton, I know we are full swing football and baseball. Is there any new information about the basketball team the new players or coaches and whatnot?
  16. He had a collarbone injury from his senior season of football which is why his baseball debut was delayed. He should be at 100% with that by now, however.
  17. Thank you CJ. I thought he had been dealing with issues around his shoulder.
  18. Nice analysis. I would’ve labeled LaVell Edwards offensive.
  19. Nice job and good read Hashtag. Yes, you have to have both. I look at Tom Landry as an example who I watched in his career. He was a strong defensive coach but also was very innovative (shotgun, motions offense and situational strategies) and was tremendously successful. Hiring the right coordinators is key.
  20. Schloss said postgame Jonah was dealing with cramps on Saturday. Explaining why he was pulled after his go-ahead 3RBI 2B.
  21. Hamstrings linger, it's what they do.
  22. How much concern should there be with Jonah and his lingering injury? Primarily when Jonah gets on the gridiron and starts taking hits...
