AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football’s Anthony Hill Jr., Colin Simmons and Michael Taaffe have been named to the preseason watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation announced Wednesday afternoon. Texas is the only program with three student-athletes featured on the watch list. The Lott IMPACT Trophy is awarded annually to the student-athlete who best exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT on and off the field. IMPACT is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

I feel very confident in Texas securing back to back #1 HS recruiting classes.
-
Texas will be the preseason #3 or #4 team in WBB and should make it back to the Final Four at worst. We'll see if they can get over that South Carolina hump in conference and if they do, get over the UConn hump out of conference. UCLA will be a team to watch as well. Still think OU is a few pieces away even with the addition of Chavez.

gitty up... excited to see how this year's class comes together. Feels like we have more momentum going into June this year than how it felt last year, which is crazy, considering we ended at consensus #1 class with strong finish.

Lmao na good timing I hope lol

At this point I feel like you must be stalking Gerry and looking over his shoulder as he makes a post just so you can get this in right under him hahaha.

Damn! Very sad. Weren’t we a finalist for him and I think there was some disappointment we didn’t get him. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45361807/baylor-football-player-alex-foster-18-dies-mississippi

Does anyone have any tailgates setup yet or OTF hosting one? My brother and I will be there and just lookin’ for some friendly faces in what’s supposed to be the worst enemy territory (bc of the people) in cfb. We’ll gladly donate to drinking/food funds but beware, swimmers tend to have an abnormally large intake! 😂 😂

Thank you for your time Tony. Always appreciate Hump Day with Hills. Interesting insight on the Broncos - Patriots playoff game going years back. Great call on the less experienced offensive linemen of Texas being put next to veterans so there is less worry about having two fresh faces being overwhelmed on one side in a big game. I think having DJ Campbells poise and experience next to whoever wins out at right tackle is a huge plus🤘 Hook Em

It will be interesting to see if we start seeing movement of commitments if the House ruling caps how much NIL an individual school can provide. If we get capped some of the top talent will disperse more.

Fong hasn't done well the past couple of years IMO.
-
So close to being a Longhorn too. Hate to see this happen to anyone.

I went to the game for 30+ years. A lady behind us complained about everyone standing up... before the game even started. A young guy told her, "Ma'am I'm sorry but we merely subsist 364 days every year waiting for these 4 hours." I told her everyone sits during the TV commercials. My best tip on seating location: On the West (press box) side, sitting under the overhang of the Upper Deck above is a great location...if the temp is 90+ it's in the shade. Expensive seats but a super location beginning at about Row 40 and up. My Senior year at UT my student ticket was on the East side lower deck halfway up...my left foot was on the 50 yard line and all UT on my right. The kid sitting on my left was an Oklahoma student. Sunny and hot, but perfect location. You and your family will love the experience. There's nothing else like the electric crowd and the atmosphere. The fans who go to that game are the serious football fans. Your kids will enjoy the State Fair so go very early and make it a day for them to remember. My late father told me all about my grandfather taking him in 1936 the Texas Centennial when all the Art Deco buildings were new. Hook 'Em!

Incredibly unfortunate. Speaks to the force in which Simmons hit the QB though. -

Still can't believe that football launched straight out of bounds. Great sack. -
Can't trust Fong bombs in the NIL era of recruiting
-
He still is because he will change his bomb right before the kid commits.
-
Fong used to be automatic. Not anymore

Do you believe Richard Wesley?
