  1. Past hour
  2. Pretty sure it can be a combination of both Rev Share and 3rd party NIL. May be some guys getting only RS , others both. Texas only has 13.5 million in Rev Share for football. So easy to see 3rd party does a lot of business if our payroll is in the 30-40 million range. And those 3rd party deals as of now still have to clear the Clearinghouse etc. And yeah have read monthly pay. And as stated above some signing bonuses etc. Be fascinating one day to see how it is really done, how each school figures out their path. Texas One Fund seems very well ran , and dependable as well as compliant.
  3. Half of Oregon's roster is from California.
  4. Very good interaction and respectful disagreement. Thank you for that as well!
  5. Not sure but I think yes
  6. That’s what I thought. So they are signing rev share deals. I wonder if NIL is separate through 3rd party?
  7. Well I'm not going to continue going back and forth with you on it, so we don't clog up the thread lol. But I appreciate the back and forth, being respectful, etc. Appreciate the info, too.
  8. Again, thanks Jeff!! 🤘
  9. Sean Miller and staff are very excited about how hard the guys are competing every day. Staff very encouraged
  10. Glad to hear.
  11. Bobby, and you and your team are so appreciated. Truly the best in the business. Think about a woman's Longhorn show next year. Hook'em
  12. LOL, it should have been harsh, for me to forget the great Texas Longhorn swim and dive team is criminal for longhorn fan.
  13. I think Rev share is from the schools
  14. Today
  15. I haven't heard anything negative in that regard since the Cain news came out.
  16. What is the difference between NIL and Rev share?
  17. He's played a big role in putting this roster together, no doubt. But I'm not expecting a mass exodus of talent following him to College Station. The pitchers are at Texas because of Max Weiner and the position players like playing for Schloss and Tulo. Losing Cain stings, but if Weiner left, for instance, I'd be worried about guys on the roster following him.
  18. So what’s the backstory? Is this going to be another one of those things that can’t be disclosed, like the women’s basketball departures?
  19. Doesn’t seem like Cain does much on the field coaching, so not sure why any players would follow him. Seems like Schloss, Tulo and Weiner play the biggest roles in development
  20. @Blake Munroe @Jeff Howe @CJ Vogel How much of this roster do you attribute to Nolan Cain? And any chance some of our studs follow him? Great recruiter, but shouldn’t be too hard to replace if all our best guys stay put. Could easily see this team being better next year hiring Marder from Oregon and bringing in Laya, Armstrong and a few others
  21. You know, you can express concern with a direction without it being an overreaction, right? Not everything is good, nor does everything happen because Texas wants it to.
  22. The overreaction on this thread is hilarious. Mediocre? Defind? The program with the most conference titles. The program with the 2nd most men's natty's behind swimming and diving. Uh ok
  23. I get what you’re saying. I know a couple people who are decently close to baseball program people and I’m not kidding you about the financial commitment baseball gets. It’s not as much as you’d think. Combine that with losing the key recruiting guy who built those A&M teams for Schloss, and yeah, I think we may be in for some trouble. I’m not saying we’re going to lose everything, but I am saying that we may lose recruitments we should win (see Bino + Clemson catcher). There was a reason things “didn’t work out” with Bino.
  24. Okay but nobody seems to be panicking about it and seems like a new hire could be in the works in a few days. I'm sure Schloss was aware of it. I just don't see it as a reason to go into full blown panic mode. Again, saying it's "no secret" but not providing any proof is still blowing smoke. I don't think Schloss would've bothered with the move to Texas if there was no investment into Baseball, which is a big deal at Texas. If you want more investment, you need to fight for it and show it. Sark had to do the same for Football. Now if it does bite us in the ass, I'll happily (or sadly) eat crow on it but right now I'm just not seeing the cause for panic.
