@Gerry Hamilton I say let’s roll with KJ and put Arch back in the 16 wheeler package like he was when Quinn was here. Arch be your short yardage package guy to be your power runner. What’s this teams ceiling with KJ in your opinion?

I'd rather change the play caller. Milwee has called plays before. It's almost certainly the biggest problem.

I don't know if he'll start against Ole Miss or replace Arch in the 1st half, but everything will suddenly improve dramatically once he's in. The o-line and running game will be instantly better. We will all realize the receivers have been open all year. The defense won't be on the field all 2nd half. Get ready

Arch has never had a 300+ yd day against a P4 team? Look I celebrated the day he committed. I wanted him in over Quinn sometimes. But, alas, it does not look like is who we wanted him to be.

Sark has no ability to adjust in-game. He's really bad at it. If he's smart he'll script KJ a bunch of plays to have that as an "adjustment" during the game. Maybe he can dual-script something to keep us from getting completely shut down.

To right the ship we need to tackle our problems head on and guard against our central mistakes 😉

Not to start - for some reason, he (and this team) look good in practice . . . so we are told . . . and if that's the case, he'll get the start again. Sark better be ready with a play sheet for KJ tho. To do otherwise would be negligent.

Garrett Gilbert once threw for 344 yards in a game against a P5 opponent. Arch has yet to have a 300 yard game against a P4 opponent. I realize Arch has a much better overall record than GG, more wins against Top 25 and Top10 teams, but still, that's a surprising stat to me.

The root cause of the offensive struggles is the OL, not the QB. The offense does fine, both running and passing, when the OL isn't overmatched. Replacing the QB doesn't fix the running game. Unfortunately, there's probably no quick fix for the OL and putting Lacey in is just desperation.

Either start Lacey or go down with Arch. Throwing Lacey in only after Arch potentially stumbles and we get behind is a) unfair to Lacey and b) unfair to the team/fans.

KJ should start against Ole Miss but most likely won't smh

Sark will start Arch against Ole Miss and he will play well with the script. After the script is where he'll fall apart. Will Echols will kill Connor Robertson and Brandon Baker and we'll be missing our best player on the team so we'll see if the pass rush will ever get home against the uber talented Chambliss.

Lacey needs to start on Saturday. If there isn't a marked improvement by half, that could give Arch a boost of confidence because he'll see it's not all on him, and he can put on the cape and be the hero. I don't think Texas fans will get the sample we all want to see if you let Arch start and then bench him midway through the game, because that's asking a lot of Lacey. If Sark starts Arch and Texas drops a 3rd game in a row and 2nd at home, I think the only way Sark keeps his job is if he agrees to hire an OC (Chip Kelley???) but that might not even be enough.

I don’t think that should be a fear, if that wins games, then hell yeah.

So money. Texas beats OU without the two disastrous picks. Those are on Arch. Texas probably beats Florida without turning the ball over on downs, that's on Sark.

I you guys are probably right with these scenarios and I hate it. If you’re going to give KJ a shot, don’t throw him in a quagmire. Get him in for a scripted series early, even if not starting. Commit to it and communicate it internally in advance so you don’t further rattle the team.
