I have a hard time believing they exhausted all avenues and landed at status quo minus Nate Kibble and Nick Brooks. They gained Baker on the inside, but it certainly seems like the strategy is to get on your knees, bend over and pray

You guys are great! Maybe add “watch alongs” for some playoff games when Horns not involved. Prefer listening to you guys over announcers

Someone makes a Kyle Flood thread every half hour so why not this? 😂

Think you meant to reply not make a whole new topic haha

How is this different from any other program? Most head coaches have final say and don’t let assistants do whatever they want. Using this logic would mean no assistant coach at any program is worthy of criticism because the head coach always has final say and that’s just not the way it works. And I say that as someone who is far from being completely out on Flood. I know that coaches are far from perfect.

…love it Gerry. To the guy accusing the guys of lieing or being dishonest about the OL recruiting and TP, really, are you serious? The guys are on air passing along facts that they have verified, and giving their opinions, THAT’S IT!!! What incentive do they have to lie or be dishonest about anything? But I’m with Gerry, Take the Train!!!

1. Arch Manning 2. Trinidad Chambliss 3. LaNorris Sellors 4. Gunnar Stockton 5. Sam Leavitt 6. Marcel Reed 7. John Mateer 8. Byron Brown 9. KJ Jackson 10. Austin Simmons I based mine on where I think their ceiling is. I am bais but I think Arch has shown enough glimpses that he could be the best Manning to ever play the game. Chambliss is great but there is just something that gives me pause rating him over Arch. These 2 are in a class above the rest. -
This a note for Flood.

What I loved - Recruiting/Portal coverage, Tony Hills/Marcus Myers analysis, Watch with us, Lunch with Coach, Tailgates, guests from opponent's media, CJ's growth as a reporter and critic, Matt's added production What could improve or I could do without - Some redundancy in the shows (might be purposeful but just repetitive for folks that watch all the content), Grades shows Overall A+ as usual.

OL average PFF ratings for the last two games of the regular season: Texas aTm: 63.5 Texas: 64.4 I’m not defending anything or anyone, just sound reasoning. The whole season for atm is behind a paywall for PFF. So Blake or @CJ Vogel could look. Point is the “struggles” this year were not just OL. QB, RB etc all play a part in what we see.

@Gerry Hamilton what does your gut tell you in regards to Chambliss getting another year of eligibility? What is the Ole Miss backup plan? -
Comparing apples to oranges

No, incorrect. First, PK demonstrated a consistent inability to marry the back and front end. He only had one year at Texas in which his secondary was elite. He also was philosophically not aligned with what Sark wanted, ie an aggressive defense. From Sark’s perspective, Muschamp is an upgrade over PK and better aligned with Sark’s own philosophy. With PK, the bad secondary was a trend, not a one-off. Compare that with Flood—philosophically aligned, consistent improvement through 2024, only one “off” year in 2025, and Sark thinks Flood is the best OL coach available. If any of those variables change, then firing Flood becomes more reasonable.

I gained consciousness during the Charlie Strong era, I’m just happy to have these crying from a yacht problems man🤣🤣

The pk thing is because he had a better one lined up. Just like we let Parker go to get cam. Who do you suggest we replace flood with? I’m pretty indifferent on him but that’s because I don’t see this IOL portal class as anything worth getting mad over. The ones worth it, imo, we went after (brunner/Michigan guys/siani) but other than that it’s a bunch of meh. Which i think isn’t a sure fire better option than guys like Cojoe or Chatman in the program for a few years. the thing about the portal class for me is depth, which there is still time for. I don’t pretend to know some of these guys asks for PT or $$ so hard to say who they should get, but the rest of the class has earned trust with me. If we get to 2026 with another poor oline then it’ll be time to ask the hard questions. Just too early for me personally

Texas vs. Kentucky men's hoops game thread

I disagree that he's not athletic, but yes there will be more athletic defenders that will give him problems. His issue is he's strong but he doesn't know how to use that strength with good footwork. His footwork is awful right now. That's why he travels so much when he throws his shoulder into the chest of the defender. If he just worked on mastering a strong drop step, he would be so much more dangerous. Same goes for defense. His footwork is just awful and always puts him in a bad position which usually results in a foul. He's still got a lot of development to undergo. -

I would like for Gerry to finally admit his Aggie fandom! That’s what I would change! He loves him some Elko! -
So based on this logic he should not have fired PK since this is the argument against firing Flood

Fun question. My ideal class looks like: CB John Meredith III - North Crowley CB Josh Dobson - Hough (N.C.) DB Eli Johnson - Cibolo Steele DB JayQuan Snell - Waxahachie 5th option Fats Houston - North Crowley Aside from Houston, I think everyone in that room is 6’1”+ with absolute units at safety with Snell and Johnson. -
This is entirely fair. We will never know exactly what transpired to lead us to starting so much youth and inexperience last year and yet doing so with such confidence. But as far as I’m concerned, that’s a collective failure on Sark, Harris, Flood, and the personnel staff. I will say this: if the OL looks like a weakness this year, my tune might change on Flood. One off year after four years of gradual improvement is forgivable. But if turns into a trend, he’s gotta go.
-
The positional coach is in charge of knowing his unit and development. Of course Sark makes the final call on roster management and play calling etc. But the position coach is solely in charge of development and informing Sark of what the oline can execute properly and contains the players necessary to win games. Rolling out Stroh week 1 after hearing all year it was Neto and Stroh looking like he just learned how to walk and not knowing our oline combination until 2/3 of the season is absolute malpractice no other way to put it. Hutson/Robertson/Campbell all plateau’ed last year, that should not be possible. I think I saw somewhere out of the 2025 OL haul only 1 player still remains? How far we’ve come from watching the Florida game
-
I think people understand that Sark is in control but they want the ax to fall somewhere for the problems they see and they know Sark is solidified. So the pitchforks are pointed toward Flood since he’s more expendable and an easier target.
