I completely get where you are coming from as I have daughters. But honest question here, if the role was reversed and she chased him down and kicked him in the nuts, would that be an issue. And I'm not trying to condescending or confrontational. I just think the outrage is a little overblown because it was AI but a the same time, I am glad he took ownership of it and apologized. It shows maturity and demonstrates that he learned an important lesson about having a platform. Optics matter.

Two things can be true. In general, we a much more politically correct environment that we live. People are binary in thought now and days which erodes reason, nuance, and ultimately communication. He made a mistake. Violence of a man against a woman is rarely funny. This has nothing to do with soft. The topic of a joke has always rightfully mattered. No need to be rude towards Holly. She’s not really done anything wrong and for all we know her reaction was probably less towards Sark and more towards ESPN production screwing up. She was unable to do her job. And she’s said nothing negative about Sark, Arch, or Texas that I’ve seen.
