  1. Past hour
  2. I agree its hard to be a HC and a playcaller but at the same time the #1 single thing Sark has done best in his coaching life is playcall. He does need to make some type of change or check and balance system or someone to make some situational suggestions.
  3. Can't falt the OL for the 4th and 1. That play was telegraphed and they were totally out numbered inside.
  4. Not quite 30 but a lot of rotation for such a big game on the road. surprised how little Spence played. Would have wanted to see more vasek as well
  5. I don't think their gameplan included having holes consistently created in the run game against their front 7.
  6. Part of me wonders if Sark overcorrected a bit with the switch from speedy to big WRs. I do know this: Worthy, Mitchell, Golden all would have been open all day long yesterday.
  7. Snap counts, according to PFF:
  8. I don't have a complaint. I have an observation, this was week one against the best team probably we'll face all year. I don't control how fans think, nor will I try to, opinions are far and wide. I enjoy them them and some are absolutely comical.
  9. It sucks that we lost, but the players are NOT quitters, so they will be fine. If anything, losing a close game on the road first game of the season shows you a lot about what your strengths and weaknesses are. Strengths: OL better than practice reports...FAR better. Baxter not great, but way better than expected considering his injury. Wingo looked good, physical, fast...every bit as good as Smith. Wisner looked good. Defense was lights out good. I was hoping for a big splash play resulting in a game changing turnover from AntHill, but it never materialized. Guilbeau was our weak point but even he had a good game all things considered. January and Watson were much better than any practice reports led us to believe. LaFau was good all day. CS didn't have his best game, but his competition was very good, so expected. Burke looks good. Weaknesses: Arch missed that first throw and it seemed to affect him after that. His body language and facial expressions were very negative, but at the end he had some step in his step. Not enough misdirection compared to what we've seen from Sark the first 4 years. On the bright side, these threads bring out the quitters and trolls. We may not see you after the 4th game of the year.
  10. From what I heard all off-season, it sounded like Hero Kanu was playing more with the 2nd and 3rd string. However, it looked like he was on the field a lot. Was that more because he's better or Sark wanted more experience against the Buckeyes? Does anyone have the snap count for each player?
  11. That is much more of an exaggerated, overreaction than anything said here. What's your specific complaint? Arch sucked? Yeah, he did. We still suck in the red zone? Yeah, we do. It only cost us the game against the defending national champions.
  12. Ohio st back 7 on defense is very talented. I think they’re going to have some issues up front. Was not impressed with their DL and Edge. Michigan might be able to run it down their throat again.
  13. Nah. A basic brain will read nuance. I was thoughtful about the huge if but of course some can only comprehend in binary.
  14. I got exactly what I expected🤣. A win and there's no reason to play the rest of the season, give us the natty already. A loss, and it's fire errbody, Sark sucks, Arch is a bust, and Texas should disband the football team.
  15. It was shocking how bad he played. Now we know why Quinn started. I thought Sark was just being loyal
  16. Mosley is pretty great at getting open and catching the ball. Getting him back will help, but it will still require the QB to be able to hit the broad side of a barn.
  17. I have to admit this board behaved better than the one many of our mods came from, where they soil themselves over our first three and out. Let’s hope this holds.
  18. Welcome to the internet, and to college sports. What did you expect?
  19. It’s funny when teams open with like minded teams. My guess is Bama isn’t as bad as they looked, and neither are we or Clemson.
  20. The Film Guy talked a bit about Texas at Ohio St., here's some of his takeaways(He gonna upload an in-depth film study later) : - Ohio State's defense is the most complex defense he studided since he started his channel - Says Caleb Downs is the best and most instinctual player in college football - Ohio State was perfectly prepared for everything that Sark dialed up, says that it's the same thing that OSU was doing last year along with Georgia and Vanderbilt - He thinks the worst thing coming out of this game, although he says he's not sounding any alarms yet, is Sark's gameplan and that he needs some new stuff - He says that the moment was too big for Arch and that caleb downs pre-snap vs post-snap had a lot to do with it, along with the enviroment and the general talent on OSU's defense - Says that Arch was one of the most sound quarterbacks mechanically and foot work wise he'd seen last year and that yesteray everything went out the window - The good takeways for Texas were CJ Baxter and the defense, says they're still really good
  21. That’s why I don’t look at twitter or this message board during Texas games it’s pathetic
  22. STRAIGHT FACTS! Texas will be just fine 🙂.
  23. I trust sark…… but if he wants to take that next step - we better start scoring points and START kicking FGs, instead of getting stuffed in the RZ…..time and time again. This is also why we should NEVER schedule a top5 team as opener. If this was the second game , hopefully less penalties …..
  24. 🤣 Exactly! I'm going to order some Terry Blacks and wait for the SC game. As a player and even more specifically, as a DB, I was taught to have a short memory. OSU is over and I'm already moving on to the next game.
  25. Losing sucks. To the core. So people spend time trying to figure out how not to lose next time. That and myriad other reasons are my professional opinion.
