  1. Past hour
  2. Much better overall performance.
  3. I also love tailgates with a Cajun Flair. Boudin Balls or Jambalaya
  4. @Gerry Hamilton one of these is coming your way... pick your Poison!
  5. A pass. To Smothers. Out to the right flat.
  6. I am planning on sending him a Duke's Mayo cap!
  7. With how much "physicality" has been preached throughout camp, I have to imagine Sark is going to lean into that to try and set the tempo and tenor of the game. I want to agree with @Bobby Burton about the power run, but just knowing sark and the stregths of Smothers, I am going outside zone off the right side.
  8. Great topic. For tailgating I am with you on the smoked sausage and I am a big fan of City Meat Market and Luling. Both are great. I also always have to have chips and queso at a tailgate. I like ribs, but I tend to favor them for a watch party at the house over an actual tailgate. Also - we can hope that @Gerry Hamilton doesn't see this thread because we all know what his answer will be...
  9. Great list. Vasher then Ewers a close 2nd.
  10. Arch and the O should certainly be better, but I’m firmly in the “show me” camp. He was infinitely better the second half of last season, but frankly he was just plain bad most of the first half of the season. Missing the spring and then not lighting it up in preseason leaves me with questions. Hopefully he and the rest of the O can pull it together, but I’ll keep the “Arch for Heisman” sign in the closet until his play compels me to bring it out.
  11. I genuinely curious - who exactly are the national folks sending out these messages about Hutson. I have not listened or watched much national stuff the last couple weeks, so I'm out of the loop.
  12. That's what I came to say. Sark is going to force the run in this game.
  13. Great to see Ella Swindle play a key part in the set 3 comeback
  14. After an early deficit Texas storms back to win set 3 (25-20) and the match HOOK EM!
  15. Love the write up, like usual Jeff. My problem is, I'll believe it when I see it.
  16. I like Kiffin as an offensive mind but boy does he create drama everywhere he goes. The guy loves drama. It's like he hasn't learned a thing in his career full of constant flops at blue bloods. Match that with the bs that goes on with LSU, you got yourselves one hell of a sh*t show. I doubt they'll kick LSU out of the conference but they should 100% be severely punished.
  17. Today
  18. I can't wait to see the mini Moody open.
  19. 1. Smoked Sausage Links - there are so many varieties. Elgin, Lockhart, Luling, Llano all have great ones, but if you are ever passing through Giddings, you will be hard pressed to beat City Meat Market. 2. Jalepeño Poppers - filled with cream cheese, pimento cheese or pan sausage!
  20. Opinion poll on the best, common or unique, foods for your tailgate?
  21. Zero chance Cody doesn’t hire Lane now.
  22. Even if LSU gets court relief now, it is a hell of a gamble to play them. Risk vs Reward over 2 players really? They are gambling another Court won't overturn all this eventually. But if so your players will get the rug pulled out by the SEC and the penalties they can impose . Not only on the coach, players , and the University. Then have read the CFP Committee may make teams that play these NFL guys ineligible for the playoffs etc. If that were to ever happen, I truly hope Texas and Hutson deal is definitely okay and worth it. Sneaky suspicion that LSU may back down no matter the ruling tomorrow. But that makes too much sense .
  23. Nice work as is your custom, Mr. Howell. It has been 50 years since I last strapped on the pads. I’ve watched football go from the wishbone to the spread; from salt pills & no water during practice to sand pits and technology that measures every bodily function; from $25 in laundry money once a month as a freshman fb player at a directional school to whatever the heck these lads bank today. Amazing changes. The game, though? At its core it’s still run the damn rock. Stop the bad guys from running. Show up in a bad mood and take it out on the other sideline. These young men are about to open a 55 gallon drum of whoopyo. It’s going to be a fine season.
  24. Sark simply has to field an offense that can flat out move the ball. Sark is the OC/HC and in all the years he has been at Texas, he hasn't had the offenses we thought we'd get with an offensive genius reputation. To me, the presssure is more on Sark than Arch.
