Yep. It really is kinda fun collectively urinating on their Cheerios tho. The gift that keeps on giving.

I think he regretted that. I heard he apologized to the team on numerous occasions, but parents weren't happy about it. Rori kept the team together after that incident. Whenever that is brought up by the media, you can tell he hates talking about it. He underestimated how deep those words hurt a bunch of the girls. Amazingly, we had a great run until UCLA. Maybe it flamed their fire to prove him wrong. There is a lot of emotion in this game, coaches makes mistakes. Look at Geno's attack on Coach Staley. -

I think it was right at halftime against UCLA and Carlton was open and didn't get the ball. She was arguing with Coach on the way to the locker room. I feel like she never got the flowers she needed nor the playing time. He felt obligated to play the transfer seniors. Judd was never able to do much. Sidberry essentially a defensive player. That likely didn't sit well with Carlton. All these kids have been told how great they are since middle school, add the dimension of fame and money, whoa! Not easy. Sign of the times for sure. - Today

I also wonder about the “no heart” comment. Said it at the time on here but that comment also rubbed me the wrong way. “Heart” was so far down the list of reasons they lost that game. Was a really, really bad defensive gameplan and then to blame it on the players was odd. -

Carlton and Vic just didn't mesh well for whatever reason. Crump returned from injury only to ride the pine. Her body language spoke volumes. That is some serious talent leaving. -

How much money can there be in WCBB given that the sport doesn't actually generate positive revenue? This makes zero economic sense. As far as these kids are concerned, Vic is an old man who talks too much and doesn't understand the "modern" game. -

How much is Texas paying the #1 recruiting class vs retaining players? Agents drive the portals. Sad! 🤘🏻 -

Dang, rough news to start the day. I trust Vic and staff to bring in suitable replacements. -

At face value this is not good, and I cannot stand how some of these players get developed here and then want to leave. This is lack of character on full display, which will haunt them down the road with their decision making. Weak minded individuals do not handle adversity well. With that, from 10,000 feet…. Carlton - Tough loss. She made a turn this year for sure. I love the way she uses her size, great with put backs, and she has a nice shot. She does not look to score enough however, she looks disengaged at times, and she is too inconsistent. Jordan - Smart, player who plays hard, and she has a beautiful, but inconsistent shot. She has been developed well. This would be a tough loss IMO. Vic started her all year. No idea what happened in Nashville, and I read that she’s tight with Preston, but where’s the loyalty to the program if she is truly considering leaving? Preston - Amazing quickness and speed. The staff has developed her into a great defender. I love her ability to take the ball to the hole, and I love the energy she plays with. I believe she can run the point here, but she is not a scorer. She cannot shoot from the outside, she has horrible rotation, and she is not good from the charity stripe. Crump - At one point I thought she and Carlton were going to be the difference makers down the stretch, along with our obvious constants. Then I watched her body language (absolutely horrible)…her defense is not good, and she was out of place, at the Michigan game, running rouge along the baseline, which is absolutely unacceptable. She has a beautiful shot, and early on she displayed the ability to slash. I think she has a lot of talent, but it will be interesting if that is ever fully tapped. Vic is an amazing and demanding coach. Wale up call…so is the real world. These ladies have an opportunity to play at one of the top institutions in the world and to be coached by an elite staff. I wonder if emotions, feelings, and excuses are getting in the way, Any player who has a problem with Vic staying with Maddie in the semi game is ludicrous. She’s one of the top 3 players in the nation, IMO the best. They can watch her represent team USA from the couch. Either way, we’ll rebuild. It would be nice to have a point guard that could drain it from the outside and still deliver the rock. Rori is my favorite player to ever wear the burnt orange. She is the definition of a champion. Holle displayed the same attributes. These “transfers” are missing that. If you want to play and execute on the court, then put the work in, and don’t take the easy, LAZY way out. Quitting is never the answer. HOOK’EM -

They likely got into a heated argument after the Vanderbilt game and said things. Look my ex and her sister got in an argument in their 20's, and never spoke again. -

And I answered with very few schools have money in WBB. This isn’t football or men’s sports. Most schools don’t invest in WBB except the blue bloods and new bloods competing for Final Fours/National Championships. Texas is one of the few schools that has 7 figures in WBB. Unless these players are going to SC, UConn, USC, Iowa or Tennessee, the money isn’t there for all players. -

Man I’m using them as an example to say “money is money” and if you leave Texas you can still do well in life. The argument was “they’ll regret leaving Texas”, like probably not. -

Lee is the one that makes no sense to me. She’s been the ultimate teammate. And Preston could be next year’s starting PG, but Texas is looking for one in the portal, so I can see her wanting to leave. -
Another championship won by a team built completely in the portal. That's just the meta now. If you look at the Michigan players, they are physically bigger, quicker, and taller than every other team. The way they defend and challenge shots is another level compared to what we got. We got a center but we need more skilled and physically strong players at SG/SF/PF.

CDC knows better than you or I and he hired him so that probably means he thinks Miller is capable. Projecting is part of what you need to do when evaluating potential of coaches or players. Miller has Multiple elite 8’s and sweet 16 appearances, he’s a seasoned coach in his prime coaching years who knows what works and what doesn’t work, that all comes with experience. Texas has the athletic infrastructure and resources to build a contender with him. Not saying it’s going to happen but the potential is there

Rumors are an incident happened in Nashville and things haven’t been the same with certain players and coaches since. Let’s just say the Vanderbilt game makes a lot of sense now. Also rumblings of certain players with bad attitudes. Hence, lack of playing time and trust by coaching staff. -
Why do you think we have the coach "to do it"? He was running a better program at Arizona, with NIL before NIL was legal (which is why he lost the job). The coach before him did much better (23 straight trips to the NCAA tournament, four Final Fours, one championship) and the coach who came after also took Zona to the Final Four, something Miller didn't do in a dozen years and seven trips to the tourney. Being objective, Miller has shown he's an excellent coach but he has yet to show he's ready "to do it" when it comes to competing for the national championship. Let's see him make a Final Four or two first ...
