Steve Spurrier Isn’t Buying The Arch Hype
Jeff Howe replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
My all-time favorite egg-on-the-face moment in Spurrier's career was when he made the jump to the NFL. He said he wanted to make the Cowboys the "Georgia Bulldogs of the NFL." Spurrier's Redskins teams went 1-3 against Dallas. Bill Parcells would've made that record worse had Spurrier not resigned after two seasons. -
Steve Spurrier Isn’t Buying The Arch Hype
BigMac replied to Blake Munroe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
These old ball coaches need to stick to the X's and O's of football. They have no clue how to navigate the current landscape of roster management. It has drastically changed and will never be the same again. -
Some talk at the Spurs SBN blog [Pounding the Rock] that Harper would be redundant, because he is much like Castle and Fox. To me, Indy's run featured depth, especially at Guard and Wing, that says Castle, Fox, and Harper would be a feature, not a glitch. San Antonio at 14 could take a BIG if they can get someone who spaces the floor well or who alternatively is a banger underneath, since Wemby can play in space.

Spurrier has been taking swipes at the Manning family since before Arch was born. This is nothing more than Spurrier proving himself to be a habitual pot stirrer. - Today

Not looking likely right now, but the comments berating the kid are uncalled for. There's a long time til signing day and a lot can happen. Let's not sound like agsy. He's a hell of a player. Can't get them all. Good luck to him either way.
