John Mateer Surgery Update
TheContractor12 replied to Connor Vaughn's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Looks alike that was posted on a website, clear HIPPA violations, 99% not true. No real medical professional would do that either. it didn’t say what bone it was but so far we didn’t even know it was an ORIF, which it might not be. -
Fake posts and the average person being unable to tell them apart from reality is going to be society's downfall
-
If you want a real update ping @CJ Vogel he lives in Mateer basement 😭

Yep. Looks legit. A surgeon posting on a sports website about a patient’s medical prognosis. -
Bring it.

John Mateer Surgery Update
ArizonaLonghorn replied to Connor Vaughn's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Possibly "cleared for full competition in" 15 days you say? Just in time for the Texas game ... what a coincidence. -
It was really bad. He sat Myles Turner almost the entire second half against Butler. He kept insisting his teams could shoot, despite clear visual evidence they could not do so.

I think they did say he could stay if he put someone on his staff for the offensive side of the ball. Of course he said no, and I think Texas knew he would say no.

If you can't beat the criminals with Mateer, then you don't deserve to be a playoff team. They can't run, and if you can't stop one mid level guy trying to play hero ball your defense can't get it done. Add to that BV runs a gimmick defense that gives up a lot of explosive plays and the beat goes on.

Sean Miller and the Texas MBB squad
Gerry Hamilton replied to PaulieD's topic in On Texas Football Forum
He had stopped recruiting at the level needed, especially in Dallas. They became dreadful scoring the ball. Like dreadful. Was just time for Barnes and Texas to reset. -

Why did we not renew Rick Barnes? I forgot what the rationale was for him to leave Texas. - Today

What are they saying? I think Texas has the dogs to stop OU even if Mateer did play.

Bye week, and I’m already twitching without Texas football. No Arch Manning grimaces to nitpick, no Sark play-calls to roast—just me stuck watching everyone else’s drama. At least there are still some heavyweight games to keep me entertained: Georgia–Alabama in the SEC and Ohio State–Penn State in the Big Ten should both be slugfests. Meanwhile, I’ll laugh at the Aggies doing Aggie things and ignore the OU fans—since they’ve got no game to lose this week, they’ll just be on Twitter convincing themselves Texas is nothing but a media creation—like the press is secretly holding weekly hype meetings in Austin.

They're really acting like Hawkins is better than Mateer and that their running game is going to magically appear. 🤣 after reading some of the comments I had to make sure it was too early to be drunk.
-
They really think this team is gonna have an out of nowhere, magical 2000-esque season lol it doesn't help that they've landed 2 5-star OL in the last 24 hours
-
Not that you ever wanna look over an opponent, but can we sim the Florida game and get to Red River? OU fans are talking talking.

2025 Women's Volleyball Thread
HookemTexas replied to DirectorsCupUpdates's topic in On Texas Football Forum
They took the foot off the gas in set 3, became complacent, and starting making errors/mistakes that they normally wouldn't make. Definite teaching moment because momentum can swing quickly and against a better opponent could lead to a loss. See last year vs Missouri or ATM. -
