I was responding to what they did "at Texas." That said, I don't really think people outside of Longhorn fans would say Vince is a top ten QB all time.

Starts by turning his baseball body into a football body. Work that must be accomplished in the next two months. -
That's cool but Vince is considered one of the 5-10 best QBs in the history of the sport, James is not.

How do you keep a safety healthy? A safety flies up to hit people. That tells me they want him to stick to return specialist this year (?). -
James Street was undefeated as a starter at Texas. Makes him better than Vince.

Received a message yesterday in regards to the two-sport freshman who has joined the Longhorns for on-field summer workouts: "He is a freak." Williams was given some time to catch his breath following the conclusion of the Texas Baseball season, but is now with the football team for summer conditioning workouts. The early returns have been superb. The caveat added to my conversation was the focus on keeping him healthy is and will be a main focus for the staff. -
The Mount Rushmore is about AT Texas, not as a pro so what they did post Texas is irrelevant to this conversation.

Said it before, Think Arch will be the best football player in the world for a long while within three years. Means we need two natty's with him. Durant played at Texas. Nothing more than that. But that's a lot.
-
What does 2015-2019 have to do with Durant at Texas? TJ Ford is more significant in Texas basketball than Kevin Durant. Crenshaw was better at Texas than Scheffler.

Bobby got it right. Earl was the best football player in the world from 1979-1981 . Durant best basketball player in the world from 2015-2019. Scheffler best golfer in the world from 2023-. Could argue Clemens was the best baseball player in the world at some point.

Stoops won only one with all that offensive firepower he had and Leach, Mangino, and Wilson as his OCs. Won it with John Blake’s (RIP) players. Only won it because the BCS really chose FSU over Miami 🤦♂️. Miami would’ve crushed them. Josh Heupel would’ve been shutout.

Remove the cheating titles and they have one. Tied with Colorado and Georgia Tech. Send those criminals to the penitentiary where they belong.
-
DKR - Earl - Vince - Nobis Earl - Clemens - Durant - Scheffler (he will be there soon enough) ** C Davis - Eggleston - Conradt - Richards-Ross
-
Apologies, I was referencing the late Stoops and Riley eras of all offense no defense.

Eye test counts here some. Eye says Vince better than James Street. Vince didn't win more than James. Earl eye test says he was clearly the best.

Switzer and Wilkinson cheated like crazy, as confirmed by following investigations.

Bobby Layne

You could also throw in his offspring was also a star at Texas, although Clemens did the same thing on that front so not unique.
-
James Street is probably the greatest all around athlete to play at Texas.
-
I wouldn't say they cheated, but the did play to what the voters like - video game stats. They had offensive gurus and defense be damned, they'll just stack offensive talent and score. To their credit, it worked, however those offensive minds are gone and so is the offensive scheme that produced it. Can Mateer be good? Sure, but I'm in the opinion that he will be average. That's the thing with opinions, it's like arseholes, everyone's got one. Last year couple of years the criminals had been talking about how Jackson Arnold was better than Arch and would win the Heisman. Talk changed real quick a couple of games in.

James Street from Longview. Earl Campbell from Tyler, TX. Throw in Pat Mahomes from Tyler. No other region can compete with that.
