  1. Past hour
  2. It was only a matter of time until the young bull took over for the old bull. #naturalselection
  3. Because he wants to stay here and make Texas the next Bama. Bama already has Bryant and Saban etched in their history. His legacy would be greater if he did it at Texas than Bama. Like Dabo building Clemson into the juggernaut it was from 2015-2020 or Kirby from 2021-2023.
  4. Two things can be true at the same time. Example: Art Briles is an absolutely terrible human being. He's also an offensive genius when it comes to football.
  5. Maybe Volantis since he threw almost 50 pitches last night unless Schloss needs an out. Riojas struggled his last 2 outings. He lasted 1/3 of an inning last weekend. Grubbs threw twice last weekend but unless they are injured I imagine they will both be used this weekend. Otherwise they will have 2 weeks off before the SEC tournament and pitchers are conditioned to pitch each week and like routine. They may be on a pitch count but I think they will both pitch against OU. Plus Blake said Rojas is scheduled to start today.
  6. I think you have to rest Schussler and Galvan as well. Both seem to be banged up a little.
  7. IMO Texas got Sark at exactly the right time in his life and career. He had things that affected him when he was a younger coach, got the opportunity to turn it around with Saban and has instilled what he's learned into the culture that he's built. He's learned from both Pete Carroll and Nick Saban, two coaches who built dynasties where they coached. Now he's working on building his own with everything that he's learned. OP left out, Sark could have left to become the head coach at Bama when Saban retired, iirc they reached out to him and he said I'm staying at Texas.
  8. Johnny Johnson, Jerry Gray, & William Graham
  9. Linked The Cult because I remember listening to this as the Lakers beat the Celtics in game six at Boston Garden to win the NBA Finals June 1985.
  10. Not just the tourney, but against OU today and Saturday.
  11. I don't know. I think if Sark would have switched to Arch during the second bye (just before Florida), we would've won the national championship last season.
  12. Yeah nobody who has a national seed locked up is playing their dudes in that tourney. Us especially after we lost our ace.
  13. I have about an 80 gallon barrel pit smoker I welded out of eight gauge steel. It's a single stack three inch adjustable smoker. I'm using a mixture of oak and cedar to smoke sausage from the wild hog I killed last week.
  14. Today
  15. I loved watching Vasher play football. He was electric. As for the question, I would never be able to decide. There are too many options. I wonder what @Rod Babers thinks?
  16. Surprised nobody said Deshon Elliott. His 2017 season was something else. Also got robbed of the Thorpe award that year.
  17. Never knew a Laker fan could despise the Mavs of all teams more than the Celtics, Spurs, Warriors, or Kings lol
  18. Dirk isn't even a top fifty player.
  19. Awesome question and many right answers. Ross and Huff I think jump out for be bc they have many big plays and team was great at that time. Jammar, Vasher, Mike Griffin. Earl was great for us and on the list but 1 play stands out that probably moves him to Tier 1b for me. Rod B, Barron next for me.
  20. Given that Dirk was doofus, yes. But at least Dirk wasn't a fat boy.
  21. Huff—Overall body of work at Texas, Thorpe Award, National Championship, 4th down stop, legendary status (see #7 getting passed down), still at Texas, etc ET—Texas Tech and leaving after his sophomore year I don’t think anyone would argue that ET didn’t have a better NFL career, but as far as Texas is concerned… Huff has to be on there. I had more trouble with leaving Vasher & Jammer off
  22. So because Earl was so good he gets punished for only being at Texas for 3 years and leaving early to be a top 15 pick?
  23. I think Huff produced more/put up the better body of work while at Texas. Earl was more talented and did better in the NFL, but had a shorter and less accolade-filled career than Huff
  24. For those of you who have chosen Huff, why? Earl is clearly the best safety in school history.
