  1. Past hour
  2. This. The "offensive genius" ceap needs to die. The red zone in year 5 is the same BS every year
  3. I don't give a damn about draft position. I care about wins at UT. QE will never get enough credit. OKst QE wasn't as bad as today. We waited and schemed for 9 months for that sh!tshow today
  4. As a Buckeye fan (went to the game), I don’t want to play you guys in the playoffs. We lucked out with a few key penalties, was a home opener, and our back 7 played really well. Texas took away Smith and their lines played better on both O & D. Your QB will be fine. In fact, from my seat…it didn’t look like the Longhorn wideouts ran crisp routes-wasn’t a lot of daylight. Good luck and win the SEC…happy to play you again in 5 years or so.
  5. No idea. Guessing during the game.
  6. Definitely a lack of explosive plays that we've gotten used to the past few years, outside of the Livingstone catch and I think one by Wingo, there weren't much.
  7. Our RBs (while I love them both) are average. the defense Ohio st was playing allowed for running the ball.
  8. That he suffered in the game or before?
  9. My main issue is there was nothing remotely exciting about the offense/playcalling. Offense seems to lack speed. Defense and Boumeester will keep us in every game. Arch has to be much better than he was today.
  10. The positive I guess it that the gave was winnable, like you said, Texas beat themselves with penalties, bad misses (Arch), and poor play calling. It wasn't a blow out, it was a close game to the now probably #1 team early in the season. Also, the team knows what they need to work on in order to beat a good team, the next 3 games won't really tell us much because theoretically, the starters should not be playing in the 2nd half and resting.
  11. It’s frustrating to watch a coach in his fifth year at his third HC stop unable to adjust in real-time. No excuse for Sark’s red zone issues at this point.
  12. I was hoping for a Texas team like the 05' team where stories from the guys of how Vince would dare the defense to stop them by telling them exactly what they were doing and saying see if you can stop it. There's still a ways to go to get to that level of confidence and play.
  13. I agree, which is why I’m optimistic. Arch’s pocket presence and accuracy are things we’ve seen him excel at. Hopefully just first game in the shoe jitters.
  14. The run game was positive, but there were no big plays, few broken tackles. It was not threatening enough to cause an adjustment to OSUs defensive gameplan.
  15. They scored 4th and goal line. We didn’t. That’s it right there
  16. No sacks on a freshman QB by the defense was disappointing, especially because this rush is supposed to be elite.
  17. The passes were thrown into the dirt or behind the receivers. Arch will find his swagger and we’ll be fine. Sark called a good game.
  18. On another positive note, as least we aren’t OU, who managed 35 points against mighty Illinois State while losing the rushing battle and only rushing for 3.2 YPC. And at least we aren’t A&M, who are allowing 6x more rushing yards (180+) while only rushing for 3.2 YPC at home against UTSA. We might have a LOT to figure out this year, but we stubbed our toe on the road in week 1 against the reigning national champs. I look forward to meeting each of our rivals in coming weeks, each of whom appear to have bigger problems (running the ball, stopping the run).
  19. And thank you Gerry for keeping it real just like always. Just like last year when he kept saying Quinn and his feet.. Arch will be okay but you are allowed to say he missed a ton of easy throws
  20. Knocked It out of the park Jeff. Hope we see them later in the year.
  21. Grew up a Notre Dame and Texas fan. Like most Catholics in the 60’s we rooted from the Irish but being a Texas boy, Texas was also my team. When the Irish beat Texas in the Cotton Bowl that all changed as I decided I hated ND after that and was all Texas from then on. Attended and graduated from The University as well.
  22. Have yall heard anything about Arch having a shoulder injury? The twitter streets are talking.
  23. Obvi Arch/Sark get all the chatter and I know our run game was better than most previous big games but we still do not have an explosive back.. Wisner is what he is and Baxter while I love him is just a tad slow to start. A few of those runs should have went further or in some cases you had to break a few of those tackles.. not blaming RB at all but just thinking long term.
  24. How, going into year five, has the offense gotten to this point with the offensive mastermind they have? I will say the defensive recruiting has been superior to the offensive recruiting. I was skeptical of PK after his first season and mid-way through his second season, but he has really come around the last few seasons. Why can't the offense do the same? I thought by year five, Texas would be averaging 40+ ppg, but it seems to be regressing every season. I would argue the best offensive performance I've seen from Sark at Texas was in Red River in 2021 with a healthy Casey Thompson. Makes you wonder if teams have figured him out and he still can win because the defense is fantastic and not all opponents have the talent to stop them despite knowing what's coming.
