Wouldn’t really want Durham tbh. He looks to have not maintained his speed while adding weight. Speed was his elite trait. Idk maybe that’s something that can be fixed but not a sure thing.

The playoff committee has a mess. Ole Miss lost their coach are they a playoff team now? They kept FSU out with undefeated season and conference championship just because they lost their QB. Should Bama lose is it fair to not punish Bama and yet punish Texas for losing to OSU. Both have a bad loss and Florida did beat FSU. If Georgia wins by two scores how can Bama be #1 seed in SEC. Georgia is playing on a high level now. If the committee wanted to pick a darling Vanderbilt right now with Pavia is the media story. Pavia will probably be in NY for the heisman and the committee could justify taking them. I don’t agree with Bama or Vanderbilt if you did that what is the justification for leaving Texas out despite going 3-2 against top playoff teams. I also don’t believe Texas is a playoff team this year to inconsistent and you don’t know what team will show up.

We don’t need another “nice rotational back” after what we just watched—go get a bellcow or stand pat. #3 WR (only if it’s real): Not spending big NIL on “slightly better Mosley” types when OL is on fire. If we pay at WR, make it speed or a true WR1, not another Wingo cousin. Everything else: 1 ILB, 1 vet CB, maybe a blocking TE—cool, after the above is handled. Those are sides. The meal is OL + RB. Portal tampering already started, the rules are decorative, and chaos is the only constant. Buckle up.

Ah the Gene stallings championship team for Bama in 92 was fun to watch. I remember David Palmer/Derek Lassic on offense and George Teague on defense…. Funny how seeing stallings name triggered that memory even though he was an Aggie. Ha
