  1. Past hour
  2. Sounds like most of you all are going to get rich, since this is such a sure thing MS win. Every time a bet looks to good to be true, bet the opposite.
  3. People truly only want to focus on the Arch aspect of the offense, not this stuff.
  4. Great video and I like that he proves the point that it is not all on the line. I think Sark just needs to bite the bullet and sit Arch for at least a half. The fact he is a Manning cannot stand in the way of wins.
  5. I asked Steve Sarkisian how much autonomy he likes to give Arch Manning at the line of scrimmage. Sarkisian: “We're not a huge just put it all on the quarterback to audible [team].” “We do change protections, and I think [Manning] manages those things well. When we have run-run checks and things of that nature, run-pass checks. I think those things are pretty defined. He does a good job with that.” from yesterday's press conference. sounds like not much autonomy there. I've been wondering if helmet coms have led Sark to deemphasize audibles over his directions perhaps?
  6. The top rated guys almost always go when drafted and even some guys who are much later draft choices also go because either they may hate school or just want to start playing pro ball. I don't think most baseball programs have enough NIL money to lure many of the top draft picks to come to college after high school.
  7. That was not a scheme issue. That was a blown assignment. The center completely ignored the blitzing linebacker standing right in the A gap and double teamed the 1 technique DT with the left guard. There is a view from behind the LOS on this play that shows that clearly. The LB slanted right across the 0 technique position and was never looked at let alone touched by the center. The only argument you might have here is that Sark doesn't have the zone read as part of this package, or Arch doesn't have a way to make adjustments at the line. But here again, maybe Sark doesn't trust Arch to run that zone read properly or make adjustments.
  8. On Coffee And Football this morning Bobby mentioned talking to someone who was formerly at UT and is now a college coach and that person said he noticed that Arches footwork is now off in that many of his throws are made off his heels and not off the balls of his feet. I went back and watched the Max Browne video again and my amateur eyes seemed to notice that as well.
  9. How much of that is on the offense and it's lack to execution? Not every play is going to work, especially when you have good DC on the other side that you are playing chess with. I still argue that if Arch wasn't so hesitant and pulled the trigger on these open receivers, the offense would look so much different. They have to respect those intermediate routes more, opening up deep shots. The short game would also be more affective allowing the offense to be in more manageable down and distance instead of behind the chains because of a sack or bad incompletions. I really think the bad QB play has put Sark in a tailspin calling plays. I bet if you go look at all of Arch's negative plays or incompletions, a majority will have someone he could have thrown it to and completely missed the read.
  10. Arch is struggling 100%. Backups won’t fare better with Robertson/Baker. Do mod sources say anything about a better or guard that can shore it up? Center is a disaster. I stated this concern when they took the other guy back from the pros. You only do this if you have zero bench strength. It’s unconscionable that flood has a job and longhorn nation is not calling for it. Arch’s regression is giving flood a pass and that’s super unfortunate.
  11. The running game has been in serious decline for years and that has nothing to do with Arch. Quinn was the 12th and last QB taken in that NFL draft after these other qbs Cam Ward (1) Jaxson Dart (25) Tyler Shough (40) Jalen Milroe (92) Dillon Gabriel (94) Shedeur Sanders (144) Kyle McCord (181) Will Howard (185) Riley Leonard (189) Graham Mertz (197) Kurtis Rourke (227) Not exactly a deep QB draft and that is also nothing to do with Arch. The interior OL has failed two years in a row and needed emergency roster surgery and that is nothing to do with Arch. I get Arch is playing bad but why do we think the passing game is bad BECAUSE of Arch when the rest of the offense is bad and nothing to do with him? Now could Lacey help? Maaaybe if he better fits the calls Sark always defaults to after the script. Play the best guy always. But hard to think Arch is the root cause.
  12. Yes, it is. Lots choose to only see the ceiling plays.
  13. It's time to move on. I'd rather start KJ and have to bring in Arch rather than start Arch and have to bring in KJ.
  14. I can keep these coming but I’ll start with the one that lost us the game.
  15. Today
  16. When you don’t have a qb that can see the field or make the throws it’s going to make the offense look bad.
  17. What plays specifically? How is the scheme at fault and not the players blowing assignments? I hear these general indictments about scheme and play calling, but I don't see the evidence. Yeah, a play doesn't work because a defense did a twist or blitz, but no scheme is going to stop that. The OL have to adjust and make the block. We should blame Sark for his lack of holding his players and coaches responsible and accountable for doing their jobs badly, but unless we can specifically show play call or scheme deficiencies, then we shouldn't make general indictments about the play calls or scheme.
  18. He can preach toughness and physicality all he wants but Sarkisian is soft. He abandons the run and doesn't seem to communicate with his players for mid game adjustments well.
  19. I agreed with every word of the video. You MUST go with your best players and right now Arch is too hesitant. I saw it in the tOSU game, but he corrected himself late in the game and looked great. But now he's gone backwards. He never has been that Type A personality similar to Sam E. He was content to take a back seat and now that it's his time, he's gone backwards. Some of the comments on here are wrong, though. He's hardly the worst QB out there...he's just the worst QB with his abilities. I agree with Gerry. Start Lacy. If you DON'T start Lacy after all that has happened, then you send a terrible message to the players, the NIL players, and the fans. And the RECRUITS. JMO HOOKEM
  20. Any truth to Texas starting to look other places for a HC?
  21. Personally? My mom, courtesy of my dad. Pull up a seat and let’s have a chat 😉🤘
  22. Surprised that Jayson Kent is sticking around the fringes of the league. His jumper was so janky.
  23. His choice to be OC. He resigned from UCLA to take the OC job at tOSU.
  24. As much as I wish otherwise, I think we are past the most important game of the season and onto the point of trying to build gradual improvement and see new players develop for the future. We need a reset.
  25. Ask ND about hiring a high school coach.
