Rojo no one will take you seriously if you keep making obtuse counterpoints. Instead of being stuck on the “good kid” aspect, focus on the character issues. I would talk to them about integrity and the importance of keeping your word.

Depends on the context. I would have a conversation with them if it was something similar to this. Like Alex said, we don’t even know if it is the case. If it is, it shows a lack of character. If it’s not the case, then it’s a non-issue.

I’d say the stats suggest 21 is a better indicator of maturity than 17.

I was replying to a different comment that said he thought he was a good kid, and I simply said if he quits after adversity (if that is indeed the case) then he’s not quite a good kid. I think you’re making this was more of an issue than it is.

I think you’ve identified a societal issue there. And you’re literally calling him a kid and adult within the same interaction, so clearly you’re conflicted on it. I’m 38. Everyone has a different journey and different makeup. I take issue when “fans” imply someone is either not a good kid or lacks character when they have literally zero idea who he/she really is and what ultimately drove him/her to a decision to act in a certain way.

The drinking age was lowered in the 70s to compensate for this “injustice” DUIs and fatal accidents from them skyrocketed. Care for a repeat.

The point is that we don’t know that he actually gave up on this team as you’re insinuating. All other accounts have been very positive on him I’ll go with that. If he’s struggling the answer is not to dog him and act like we have any idea what’s actually happening with him.

Look if you give up on your team because you aren’t first team then that is very much a character/egotistical issue. I’m not sure how removed from 20 you are, but they are adults and should be held accountable. Also, If we are using age legality as an example, they are legally allowed to die for our country, which is a bit more adult than drinking a beer.

Texas wrapped up summer workouts Friday with a full game scrimmage. Two 20 minute halves, refs and coaches on both sides. Matas led all scorers with 28. Punch had an impressive all-around performance Amari Evans had his best workout as a Texas Longhorn. Isaiah Johnson was really good. Bo Ogden hit three 3's, and a couple of big one's late. Texas hit a lot of 3's ... they got on a little heater (not what the norma will be for this team.

That’s rich on so many fronts. First of all you’re conflating competitiveness with character. And second, 20 is absolutely still a kid, hence “good kid.” If you think I need to “grow up” for calling out people dogging on kids that can’t even have a beer legally yet, then that’s for you to reconcile within yourself.

If Sark wants the kid on the team then he shields the player. we knew before the practice there was an issue with him and they didn’t mention any of those other players having that same issue so it’s not that difficult.
