The countdown rolls on with one of the thinner jersey numbers in Texas history, but there are still a pair of Longhorns worthy of recognition. 1. Ty Allert | Linebacker (1982–85) Allert finished his career with 287 tackles and 27 sacks, while earning All-Southwest Conference honors and Texas team MVP honors as a senior in 1985. He helped lead the Longhorns to the 1983 Southwest Conference championship, served as a team captain, and was selected in the fourth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. 2. Malcolm Minnick | Defensive End (1971–73) A three-year letterman, Minnick earned first-team All-Southwest Conference honors in 1973, all while helping the Longhorns capture three consecutive SWC championships from 1971–73. He was a reliable force on a defense that helped keep Texas among the nation’s elite. 48 days until kickoff. 🤘

This is a ridiculous development and I can't wait until these attempts are a thing of the past. I'm not going to be a hypocrite when I'm wholly against this in general and celebrate Hutson attempting to worm his way back into college football after 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪-𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱 for a potential spot in the NFL.

What a freaking game. I put it on as background TV and was hooked after the first goal. I've heard Chiefs vs Rams comparison for football but I'm trying to think if we have a game that was similar to this?

I ran a mile a couple weeks back and I feel like my 4th lap was his entire mile. Absolutely insane.

Josh Kerr didn’t just break the mile record --- he broke this entire board’s self‑esteem. Half of y’all watched that video and immediately needed to sit down, hydrate, and reconsider every PE class you ever took. Watching this twice, big shout out to the pacesetters...They were hilarious - they basically sprint 800m, see Kerr gaining like a horror‑movie villain, and immediately exit the track like ‘nope, my shift’s over.' Fantastic watch - thks for posting.

Thought that happened 3 weeks ago?

Its talking season and there is nothing to report. I know Wiltfong does a god job, but there is still a certain click bait appeal when things are slow. I'm not sure Royal has confirmed his decision to himself yet. Then how can Wiltfong know? What does it cost him if his "guess" is wrong? Take Royal at his word, he is committed to UT until he says he isn't. Love for him to be a Longhorn, but we won't stop playing football at Texas if he doesn't.

God bless them both -
I don’t watch track much. Why are they allowed pace setters and why isn’t he starting with the pack? We always started in a pack but it’s been 25 years since I ran track lol
