Competive bids from more schools combined with our loaded roster = more recruiting losses than weve seen the last few seasons. It was a good run, just keep using the portal efficiently and the additional losses are small blips .

I’ve got to give Jon Gruden some words here — he has stopped to take about 150 selfies with campers since arriving about an hour ago. He has shaken every hand and denied no one of a selfie (I should’ve gotten one). He spent about 15 minutes speaking directly to the Nicholls State pass catchers. Then onto each and every quarterback that was attending from the college level. Credit to Coach Gruden, that’s not an easy thing to do.

Only if you don’t get James Johnson in addition to Kendall Guervil. Imo regardless of recruiting rankings, James Johnson is as nice of a prospect as Lamar Brown. One or the other combined with Cleveland, Berymon, Guervil, and Wells is an all time great HS interior DL class at Texas

*Sad Longhorn noises* I think I was trying to anti jinx us, pretending I didn’t care about any of these three falling our way. Frankly Lee was the one that bothered me, really wanted to land him with his measurables and play style. Calicut is kind of a tweener/developmental take, Simeon is not my beloved James Johnson. But Bobby & crew I think are accurate here, I’d rather land 40% against the titans of recruiting than 60% against former Big 12 foes. We need to stay big game hunting, we need monsters at every level. We need to be uncompromising, but for now I just need a drink. To landing JJ tomorrow (football) God(s)willing!
