  1. Past hour
  2. Not sure they're going after T's, but I do agree would like to see them have a look at the G from Texas State. We'll see who else jumps in but I'm sure they've already been assessing this stuff a lot longer than most of us have or at least a fella can hope lol. Bartrum would be nice, but I think he's too similar to guys we have already in McDonald and Williams, imo.
  3. 👀 I would like to see Texas look at Tellek Lockette, the guard from Texas State. Upper classmen linemen for a year would be helpful. Could this be a Taaffe replacement? Makes solid tackles and runs the safety blitz as deceptive as Taaffe. Shame the fan base can't help suggest portal players to the staff 😂
  4. Last line is WILD 😂, although I agree that BYU should be in the spot that Notre Dame is, even if the B12 is absolute doo doo. Funny how "Wins and losses matter" and "Who you beat matters" apparentely applies to anyone but Texas. If OSU and UGA win their conference championship game we'll have played both the winner of the SEC and B10, who are by far the best conferences in CFB. I think that should mean something. Still think we have a very slim chance but I don't think we have 0 chances of getting in. If the committee doesn't push Bama out in a situation where they get handled by UGA then why do we even play these conference championship games? Are they gonna become just exhibition games?
  5. Today
  6. Teams ranked 1-2, in order: Ohio State, 12 - 0 Indiana, 12 - 0 Teams ranked 3-7, in order: Georgia, 11 - 1 Texas Tech, 11 - 1 Oregon, 11 - 1 Ole Miss, 11 - 1 Texas A&M, 11 - 1 Teams ranked 8-10, in order: Oklahoma, 10 - 2 Alabama, 10 - 2 Notre Dame, 10 - 2 Fringe Playoff Teams, in order: BYU, 11 - 1 Miami, 10 - 2 Texas, 9 - 3 Why do we even need a committee? What are they useful for? The clearly don't have a better understanding of college football than the average viewer. It doesn't matter who you beat, it matters what your record says and apparently how you look in the eyes of the committee, cause there is no argument for Notre Dame above Miami other than "eye test". As for an outside shot at Texas making it in the playoffs: - UGA wins soundly against Bama, props up our SOS. - OSU wins soundly against Indiana, props up our SOS. - Tech wins against BYU, that would put us above BYU I think. - Duke wins the acc at 8-5 and shows that the ACC is a joke of a conference. Don't think we're getting in but these are the scenarios to even have a small chance at getting selected. Cancel all future blue blood OOC games, they only hinder your chances at getting a 10-2 or better record.
  7. Depends on 40 time but I'd advise him to stay in school 100%. He can get paid well in college, hopefully he stays at Texas. I think he's an incredibly talented kid, fast as hell and proved to be one of Texas most valuable players this season.
  8. Pretty sure we will play Michigan in Citrus, although USC might be a more challenging opponent
  9. Dont think Texas can bank on him ever being back to 100%. They did that this year for other players and it did not work out well.
  10. I'd love to keep Vasek and see what he can do when healthy.
  11. I think we would play USC not michigan if everything stayed the same as today.
  12. Petty and particular. Love it!
  13. After seeing Jaydon Blue get drafted in the 5th round, I don’t think anything would shock me anymore
  14. I think he’d be looking at UDFA
  15. Imagine Ohio State somehow squeezes him in LOL.
  16. Bama upsets UGA, BYU upsets Tech, Ohio State over Indiana, Virginia over Duke, Tulane over UNT CFP Top 12 1. Ohio State 2. BYU 3. Bama 4. Indiana 5. Oregon 6. Ole Miss 7. Texas Tech 8. UGA 9. TAMU 10. OU 11. Virginia 12. Tulane Neither Notre Dame or Miami make it in. I think Notre Dame or Miami are the only teams worth playing in a bowl to “make a statement”. It would be a statement that Texas was the best of the fringe teams. Would be a 4th win over a Top 15/10 win team. Would be a win over a recruiting rival. I do not want to play Michigan. A win over Michigan wouldn’t satisfy any of the above.
  17. Bingo. Notre Dame has gotten the benefit of the doubt my entire life.
  18. I’m excited to see what Bishop can bring to us!
  19. Would have been funny but it was Michigan 😂
  20. Forgot about his sweet daughter. Would be so happy for him if he declares. You are right, his value will not get higher than this. Likely an all-american season. Longhorn Legend for life.
  21. I feel like Niblett has been a team player and maximized every opportunity he got. Every play in football takes all 11 guys. I hope he stays, like Sark said he is a “culture” guy. But I understand that he likely has a strong market NIL wise OR could declare. So happy for the moments he gave us this year!
  22. I would be 0% shocked if Niblett declared. He has a newborn and it's very likely this is the highest his stock will ever be considering the success he had in the return game – a place that is not easy to replicate return-luck. Go get your guaranteed NFL money while the iron is hot.
  23. I actually agree. He’s been awesome but doesn’t have elite change of direction or the ability to make guys miss.
  24. I'm sure this opinion will be unpopular but I don't see Niblet as being a very special returner. I think the special teams blocked really well for him and his TD returns were a complete team effort.
  25. *First team in 37 years to remain in the poll at 0-2. " They were also probably that team 37 years ago that remained in the poll at 0-2. 😆 It is amazing how they are perennially ranked so high, even after losses.
  26. Sexton was angling for a Sitake raise. That potential hire just didn't make sense for PSU.
  27. Not saying anyone’s going anywhere, but it sure would be interesting to watch Bishop return punts next year!
