  1. Past hour
  2. Sark and Traylor talking before Sarks presser starts.
  3. Traylor on NIL deals for HS athletes… after a very long pause: ”Yeah…. I just don’t see how that can be good. I don’t. I’m sure I’m going to be frowned upon… I just don’t think that’s good. I’m against it, personally.”
  4. Sark's press conference will start in a few minutes.
  5. Heck of a lecture from Will Muschamp. It'll get you fired up about the Texas defense.
  6. It's not though, it's missing the end zone on the side that doesn't have the goalposts because of the swimming center.
  7. Jeff Traylor on 5 for 5 “it’s a rule that was much needed”
  8. Muschamp messing with Mark Orphey while showing a clip of Kade Phillips getting off a block: “Mark, I think that was the only time our corners got off a block all spring.”
  9. Muschamp on tackling: “The guys that are good tacklers, normally, they’re pretty good athletes, but they want it.”
  10. Muschamp has jokes while breaking down some Georgia tape the hook-and-swat technique in action: “We’re playing in Athens. That’s not PI. That’s how our league works.”
  11. Even as Muschamp has evolved as a coach, he hasn’t deviated from the Bill Belichick/Nick Saban requirements for defensive backs: you’ve got to be willing tackler, you’ve got be able to play man-to-man coverage and you must be able to defend the deep ball.
  12. This ⬆️ In pads no less
  13. ET came up again. “best range guy I’ve ever seen”
  14. Muschamp: “You create havoc when you get hands on the ball.”
  15. Whenever they show the players running in groups, there is one guy 10 yards ahead of everyone else.
  16. Muschamp: “You win in bump-and-run on the line of scrimmage.”
  17. We’ll see. Hands need to be more consistent from the spring.
  18. Muschamp’s clinic tape of defensive backs high pointing the football on the jugs machine includes Jermaine Bishop working with the secondary.
  19. Muschamp says recruiting the state of Texas is somewhat tricky due to players receiving such great coaching in school, lifting since 7th grade. The question when recruiting the state of Texas is how much better can they potentially be when they get to UT.
  20. Muschamp admits something I’ve long expected: He loves defensive backs who played quarterback in high school. That position requires leadership, communication and decision making.
  21. Can he catch & score touchdowns with that speed at the college level is the real question
  22. Muschamp just described Earl Thomas as “one of the best I’ve ever coached” due to his instincts.
  23. Those who’ve been clamoring for tighter, more aggressive coverage from the Texas defensive backs, Muschamp is bringing that approach to the table.
  24. Today
  25. When Muschamp was at Auburn in 2015 under Gus Malzahn, every defensive back that came through the program spent time in the NFL.
