  1. Past hour
  2. Just rehashing his water bottle struggles from last season.
  3. I missed that … what’s happened
  4. Dasani has his number too
  5. One thing I'll say about Mateer is he is very shifty. But him running that much is not a great idea. You just spy that with guys like Hill or Smith and hope he throws one of those ducks up that he got lucky with several times last night. Michigan should've picked him off like 2-3 more times than they did lol. Had to mute the audio with how much Herbstreit and Fowler were drooling over him.
  6. As I cross the state line into the Sunshine State … the top spot in the coaching hot seat category has been secured after Saturday Florida’s next four games… at LSU at Miami Texas at Texas A&M And still on the schedule: Georgia at Ole Miss Tennessee FSU
  7. Two plays later he threw a very catchable ball to Butler 30 plus yards down feild from the opposite hash. Could there be some discomfort? Sure, but hurting isn't the same as injured.
  8. But DJ Lagway is so amazing and Billy. Spite is on fire recruiting 🤪😂🤪😂🤪 go Bulls!
  9. That would only serve as a band aid. Meaning going to the portal for positions you have players at who just lack game experience only kicks the can down the road. You have to find out if your pups are going to bite.
  10. OnTexasFootball can report that Texas remains in contact with 4-star++ Florida Gators DL commit Kendall Guervil (Fort Myers, Gla./High). Guervil committed to Florida over Texas July 2. The 6-4.5, 310 pounder suffered a season ending knee injury (ACL) in the season opener, but that has not kept Kenny Baker and staff from remaining in contact.
  11. We have to come to grips that Texas is a very young offense and we will have to lean on the defense until the offense gains it's footing. The good thing is right now, there is no team in the country that you can look at and say they are the clear cut favorite. Texas has time, but they need to use that time well to build on strengths and shore up weaknesses. It's week two enjoy the ebbs and flows without giving yourself a stroke, week 8 Texas will be light years ahead of week 2 Texas.
  12. That defense isn’t elite. We all knew what Michigan was going to do on offense. They ran into an 8-9 man box all night. They can't play Texas that way, their best bet is try to confuse Arch, but by that time Arch would have seen multiple coverages and defenses. Mateer is a riverboat gambler with his decisions and with no run game outside of running the qb 20 times a game no way he makes it a whole season.
  13. Today
  14. Sorry, I didn't mean my comment to mean he played bad. I actually thought he was much improved from a week ago. Went through his progressions properly, etc. You're right that penalties and drops were much more impactful today. But there is some clear progression there. I'd love to see the younger WR's like McHutcheon, Lockett and Ffrench get some run. We need to see what we've got and no better time than the next few weeks. Plus Wingo needs to snap out of this fuzz he has himself in. Hope Moore is okay, too. Livingstone has been a bright spot, despite a few things from him (believe he had a penalty or two). Also, when I say see the field, I don't mean he needs to force plays down the field. I just think he needs more game experience, which is obvious. He's making the progression that we and I'm sure Sark wants. He's getting better and that's all you can really ask. By the mid point of the season, I think he's going to be humming really well.
  15. I didn't expect them to come out firing, but I did expect a bit more than I've seen so far. Not that I'm thoroughly disappointed or think the season is lost, far from it. I believe that things will continue to improve, perhaps I just had my expectations too high but I do believe they'll get it clicking eventually. There is flashes of it but just too much nonsense going on today. Ironically Arch was good today (outside of some stuff I've said elsewhere) it was penalties and drops that really hurt him today. OL also looked a lot more shaky today than it did last week.
  16. Well so far, he seems to be the only WR doing much of anything and most people certainly didn't have that penciled in to start. Moore has been pretty unimpressive so far. Though he did go out injured in this one, I believe. Wingo last week had some pretty bad passes thrown his way and then turned around and didn't help his QB out in this one. It's going to take a while to switch on for some of these guys (not just the WR either). I have to agree with Bobby's assessment before the season, that this team will look completely different the 2nd half of the season. The question is, will they still be in a position to play for the SEC championship/playoffs? I believe they will be.
  17. Reality is tough for some. The so called offensive genius has no clue what to do when his game plan and script run out. Arch looks worse than last year, Quinn regressed. We need a play calling qb coach in a bad way and sark seems to arrogant to realize it
  18. Don’t fall for this bs. I’ve been thru the 3rd quarter. There are 3 plays in which Jesse chirped up. The first deep throw to Wingo. If you watch closely, you’ll see one WR had 3 bodies near him, Baxter was covered, another WR with two guys on him. Wingo had single coverage, got knocked off his route then did who knows what. The second one showed Livingstone getting knocked off his route so him hitting him off the break became pretty difficult. The third was a miss, but he got a completion. And we scored that drive. Theres been a hyper focus on this for whatever reason.. Nussmeier I’d wager, once again, is turning down open opportunities down the field but not much criticism. Penalties and drops were far more impactful.
  19. It was an uneven performance. Texas just hasn’t been what I thought they would be. Texas is and will be a work in progress. The Oline wasn’t impressive and the WR spot leaves something to be desired at the moment. Texas doesn’t have a running back that can do damage. I’m not impressed with this team. They better get it together because I just don’t see them being where they or we want them to be.
  20. Right now Wingo needs the be in the depth chart place of Nibblett and Livingstone is clear #1. Nibblett just needs to focus on punt returns and catching them so we don't lose yardage and hurt the offense. I really think we need to give some of the young pups their opportunity and see how they perform in meaningful game situations.
  21. Experience doesn't make you drop balls or run lazy routes.
