  1. Past hour
  2. Using this thought process is how schools will get into hiring retreads like nfl does. There are lots of really good coaches out there that just need opportunity. This kind of thought process is also why Texas has stunk at hiring coaches dating back to the end of Akers
  3. I don’t think QB matters much for Morris. He churns them out. Also has built 2 programs now.
  4. None of these names have any impact. Honestly, between these guys and Petrino, Arkansas is better to stay with MotorBobby. He’ll get that defense fixed and the offense is already one of the best in the country.
  5. Golesh would likely be best ... unless Eric Morris brings his QB Kane Wommack ... is a no for me.
  6. Per Pete Thamel during the game broadcast: Arkansas search will culminate in coming days. 4 names linked: - Alex Golesh - Eric Morris - Ryan Silverfield - Kane Wommack
  7. @Jonesyfam7 promised me this would happen
  8. Some people are just better at the college level, maybe Sark can give him a ring and we can go win a natty next year. Joking of course, we all know Sark isn't going to hand the offense off to someone else. Although it would be pretty funny to hire him and see where it goes.

  10. Back to OSU when Hartline leaves?
  11. Do you feel the need to watch all regular season baseball or basketball games. I don’t, neither do many. That’s the point. There’s no way in hell 24 team playoff is necessary. Klatt just wants that so more Big10 and Big12 teams could get in. Because if it’s just a 16 team playoff, literally 8 SEC teams are in this year, with 4 Big10 and 2 from each other conference.
  12. The truth is 8 is enough, without AQs. What fanbase wouldn't buy into the hopium that a 16 team playoff would offer? But tossing the ACC and G5 a bone, and allowing OU and a 2nd Big 12 team in, means teams like us feel slighted we can't sneak in as #10. Even if we didn't schedule OSU, get a 4th Q beating by Uga, and lose to Florida, we have enough data points to know we're not winning 3 straight top 10 games. But getting rid of CCGs and bad bowls is worth a discussion. How about adding a revenue generating spring game instead?!
  13. My initial reaction - in a typical season, there aren't 12 teams worthy of a playoff. Unfortunately, conference politics and automatic qualifiers necessitate expanding to 24 teams. This isn't basketball or baseball or softball, there are consequences to adding games to the season and this is another money grab. ...but after giving it some thought - anything that gets rid of the meaningless conference championship games is a step in the right direction.
  14. That reads like an episode of "The Dukes of Hazzard", but with Roscoe, Cletus and Boss Hogg also making up some "cruelty to a child" charges.
  15. I'm sure someone's already called his agent
  16. No it wasn’t he said in that thread. Said it’s someone no one is talking about
  17. The gang that's banging.
  18. I got a feeling its calrton thats flipping.
  19. When he was a defensive coordinator, he didn't coach a position. Wilcox was the DC at Boise State when PK was the D-line coach. PK took over for him when Wilcox left for Tennessee in 2010.
  20. Didnt say it was all PKs fault. I think PKs defensive scheme has hit its ceiling. Nansen IMO was a great addition last year, but what he is doing now is stale and predictable. Back to the main point, I said its not all on Akina....the overall responsibility for the defense lies on Pk and thus Sark. I have had issues with PK and bad scheme and playcalling since his arrival at Texas. Year 1 the reason was its not his guys, year 2 hes developing his guys but they are coming along, year 3 help ala TCU former head coach, uear 4 addition of Nansen a few new wrinkles and atleast a few pressure packages. Also a 1 and 2 pick thorpe award winner, likely another 2 first rounders in the pipe ant hill, collin simmons. With the ability Texas has why are we still going through the growing pains. Why are we still playing bend dont break, relying on turnovers etc. We are in year 5 and now its the guys are young, inexperienced etc. The talent and ability has fallen short overall every year with PK as the guy. Not every game but overall. His dbs are 11 games in and still playing the sticks...if indeed this is Akina why has PK done nothing to address it. If its a disconnect between sark and pk in complemening styles it needs to get fixed. Talent hasnt equalled production....
  21. This clickbait thread is still alive??😂
  22. Stafford very clearly is the MVP
