  1. Past hour
  2. I tend to believe he definitely heard something from someone who has some juice. I don't like him too much but I would assume he is dialed in nationally etc. There has been smoke with the NFL and other things that I won't bring up because that is unfair right now. But something is up and as long as you respectfully address it,shouldn't be a need to try and stop a discussion. Anyone can see things are amiss but time will tell. You always need a backup plan just in case.
  3. Ohio St wins most every head to head for anyone they truly want. If it's money or rep, idk but it's almost always the case.
  4. I would also add that this team would look a hell of a lot better with CJ Donaldson on board. How we didn’t even kick the tires on him I’ll never know.
  5. Im guessing this isn't from the prep level
  6. It’s not like only folks on this board believe sark could be leaving. There’s probably a team that feels they have a good chance at getting him. It’s not like Howard is somebody that doesn’t have anybody in the NFL he speaks to that probably led him to post the video he posted.
  7. Kiffin is proving to have been the better coordinator under Carroll. I'd take him in a second if Sark heads back to the NFL.
  8. Agreed with Coach Irwin’s (Lunch With the Coach) take that our RBs aren’t physically imposing and don’t lend themselves to the necessary physical style of play needed. We need to land a hs Bowens type AND a physical RB1 level guy from the portal. This is shaping up to be Sark’s first season without a 1000 yard back, it can’t continue.
  9. Saban would be 75 next season. How many years of high-level coaching do you think he has left in the tank? He's the GOAT but was smart (and humble enough) to retire at the very top.
  10. At this stage of his program Sark needs to rebuild momentum. I honestly think Portal is way more important than the high school recruiting class. We have to go all in building around Arch next year. Sark needs to show he belongs with the big boys. He needs to beat Ohio State at home or this whole thing crumbles quickly. I dont' want to hear about who is in or not in the portal this year. Players are recruited to the portal via agents. That's the game. Go out and play it. We need to win the Cam Coleman sweepstakes, load up with 3 SEC-starter quality interior OL and get a difference maker at RB1 with experience that can start for us next year. If we go into Ohio State trotting out Wisner or a freshman RB next year i'm going to lose my mind.
  11. Well then, what's your thoughts on the Sarkisian press conference?
  12. Yup. It sucks. Especially if it is all untrue. To be clear I dont doubt he is interested in the NFL, but I am hopeful he doesnt want to start that chapter until further down the line. Like after Arch or Dia lol
  13. Sarkisian revamped his DB coaching staff??
  14. Anytime I see Kirby talking with the Refs this video instantly comes to mind. https://youtu.be/V4VlAoeLtQs?si=2kh59dTvU-aJyzIy
  15. An ‘axe to grind’ is a funny accusation coming from someone who immediately jumped to name calling. Reporting what you hear, whether you agree with it or not….isn’t any different just because the platform is bigger. Your entire argument boils down to ‘it’s irresponsible when someone I don’t like reports something I don’t want to hear.’ Platform size doesn’t change whether something is a rumor, it only changes how loud your double standard looks.
  16. Didn’t mean for it to come off like that but when you see the product on the field plus the report the day of the miss st game, it’s hard to believe this guy is 100% focused on Texas football. Listening to his PC earlier doesn’t really instill any confidence.
  17. Being an idiot can pay a lot of money unfortunately. I can think of a few that I'd rather not see on TV.
  18. The problem with all of this smoke is that other programs will use this against Texas in recruiting battles at the worst possible time.
  19. He’s regurgitating or creating rumors with a national microphone and platform. Only someone with an axe to grind would not see the distinct difference.
  20. I'm in a weird place mentally with Sark. I think Sark is a good coach, a great offensive mind, a fantastic recruiter, and that what he's done for this program over the last five years has been incredible overall despite a few bumps along the way (particularly this year). If he leaves, we face a real risk of backsliding, massive roster attrition, etc. That said, part of me does wonder who we could land if he did leave while the roster is still loaded and the athletic department as a whole is in great shape, and whether that coach might not be better long term. I'm kind of okay with either path at this point, I guess.
  21. Could be both for all I know but I was specifically talking about his Sark comments.
  22. I don't think a power running game is a priority for Sark. It's not in his DNA. He's a finesse offensive coordinator. He builds his offensive side of the ball from the outside in. When it works and he has the perfect personnel like at Bama in 2020 it's a thing of beauty. When it doesn't it's a total s-show. Sark benefitted from three tough ass NFL running backs that Herman left behind. Once they left he’s done nothing to replace them.
