It’s kind of hilarious that Elko paraded this around at the beginning of the season and literally has nothing to show for it outside of a participation trophy in the CFP. I can’t wait for Looch’s gymnastics of how this upcoming A&M team is going to be better after losing 15 draftable players, even though Texas couldn’t because it “lost too much.”

Yancey told me on Sunday that he's hearing the most from Mississippi State, Texas, and Florida. June 12-14 OV set to Austin.

National championships in the marquee sports are really tough, the baseball/softball combo has never been done before. UConn did it in basketball a few years back, and only Nebraska and USC has pulled off the football/volleyball combo, and that's only happened a total of 2 times. That Texas is potentially in the hunt for 5 of the 6 is a major testament to the school, CDC, the coaches and the programs. I say 5/6 because realistically I don't think anyone's thinking men's bball is a legitimate contender for the title this year.

Rowing ranked #2. Possible to see both baseball and softball win their NC. Which sport could push us into the top spot.

I can't really understand it either. We do have two incredible sprinters coming in next year - sisters that have the #1 and #3 all time high school records for the 60 m indoor as well as other sprinting accolades. But, there has certainly been a lull in bringing high end talent to the track program. It is a tricky sport to recruit to because of scholarship limits. Especially on the men's side. All the scholarships have to be split between T&F and CC. Seems that Texas always focused the scholarships on T&F. There are no longer limits, only roster limit which I think is like 45. That excuse is mostly off the table now, or at least whenever Texas is able to fund all 45 scholarships. T&F and CC make up 6 out of 21 sports on campus for Texas. That's 28.5% of the athletic program and the lack of high end results there would be the biggest contributing factor to us not winning the Directors' Cup this year.

Yup, the Bulls didn’t count because they had MJ and Pippen? LeBron only has 1 since the others came on teams with D Wade, Bosh, AD etc. It’s still disappointing that KD didn’t impress with the bench imagine what his career would be if he had thrown up 10-15 reps!! Also, he’s the leading scorer in the Olympics and has how many gold medals now? But still, I’m sure if you ask him his biggest regret is not having better bench numbers. Hopefully someday he’ll see why it’s so important. Until then he’ll just have to be considered as the greatest player of his generation with a select few others like LeBron. Oh well, if only…
