It’s not Austin-specific because they exist other places, but for Mexican/Tex-Mex I’d got to Lupe Tortilla. There are like 4 of them around town. -
I had returned to a previous employer for about three months. I had left a job with a lot of travel which included flying in and out of the airports the planes had taken off from. I watched on a TV and could not comprehend the towers had fallen. I remember picking up our daughter from high school that day and what had happened had not sunk into her yet. They kept the students in the dark quite a bit.

Back in 2014 I had seen someone printing out fake job offer letters for Nick Saban at PCL😂

Enchiladas y mas is definitely legit! Paplote for tacos is a good spot too. BBQ is hard to go wrong! -

It is clear some posters do not understand the difference between ESPN College Gameday and students entering DKR for the game.

Trying to push through a DL as a short yardage back with an ankle sprain seems not only ineffective but a way to worsen the injury. But hey I’m not the staff so let’s see. I like James Simon a lot and trust him if needed in certain situations. -

Let him go through workouts and if he's feeling good enough to play let him go out there, but if not he can rest a couple of weeks when we'll really need him. If Texas winning this game is dependent on a freshman running back, we are further away from the main goal than I expected. -
I’m not questioning the effectiveness of the crowd. I’m just picturing kids lining up over a day in advance in 100 degrees then entrances getting bull rushed once they’re opened. Again, I could be wrong since I was not a student when the change was made. But it seems like that has occurred based on comments I’ve read.

Something tells me Sark is all in about this game and that if Cooper can go even if it’s just for 5 or less short yardage carries and push enough off of his ankle enough to push the pile he’ll play. -

I’m fine with being cautious. I just don’t think the risk is worth the gain. We have a great stable of backs. Past RB2 he’s not so much better to merit the risk of losing several games. -
Agreed. These guys could easily be debated for includsion: Leonard Davis, Jonathan Scott, Kasey Studdard, Doug Dawson, Bud McFadin, Lyle Sendlein and Mike Williams. And maybe Harley Sewell.

Definitely NOT L&L for bbq soo overrated. Franklin’s is the Gold Standard but long line. A strong second option is Style Switch! Every year over the last 6ish years it keep getting busier and the quality is still great! If you are there for breakfast must go to Juan in Million and get the Don Juan Taco and Horchata! You just need one taco! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

For a special occasion-type place, I'd recommend Wink, which I found reliable 10-15 years ago anyway and an early adopter on the farm-to-table movement in Austin. Excellent hospitality and an unassuming place sandwiched in a strip mall type of thing. -

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports has reported Texas freshman RB Derrek Cooper is expected to be a gametime decision for tomorrow's matchup with Ohio State. Cooper has suited up in practice throughout the week, as @Gerry Hamilton and myself have reported. However, his participation in practice has been significantly limited. We will see what type of contribution Texas gets from the freshman running back tomorrow.

Jordan Lee probably would have been one of the KD athletes if she had stayed, instead her dad decided to chase the bag without thinking about the big picture. If this freshman class plays to their potential, the team will do well, but I'm a bit wary about being optimistic with what's been going on with the volleyball team. We've been spoiled with elite play for a number of years.
