What UT sports should be like by 2035...
Jc Dobbs replied to Califashorn75's topic in On Texas Football Forum
My thoughts regarding the South End Zone... indeed, it can appear that there are empty seats there, but as I understand, the revenue from the End Zone is counted and in CDC's lockbox. Second thought... when the South End Zone was re-done, I immediately understood that the Burnt Orange addition was an artsy stylized Longhorn Head. But I've been surprised at how many of my friends and family have asked me "What is that 'thang' in the End Zone?" It's just not obvious to folks. Perhaps they don't see Bevo's head everywhere like I do. Final thought... I'm more than ready for the field at DKR to return to the grass surface. My reason is that I really don't like the brown-ish paint color on the current artificial turf. People complained that the previous artificial turf field color was Orange, but too bright. So the new turf came in and they over-corrected and it's closer to Brown than Burnt Orange... to my eye. I'm hoping the end zones and Midfield will be closer to Official Orange. This is what my late grandfather said was "Pickin' the fly stuff outta the pepper." Hook 'Em! -
Watch Sean Miller pull this off.

We got as much as 6+ inches of ice around the Monroe area. I haven’t had power since Friday around 2. Hoping to get it back by end of this week. Luckily I don’t have very much damage. Tree limbs fell on the side and did some minor stuff but nothing like some of my friends had happen where a tree fell into their living room. One buddy had to call 911 because he was trapped. -
I really enjoyed the Watch With Us. So much so that I didn't listen to the TV color and play by play guys. Realizing that you can't synch up with the TV feed, some games I felt as much as 5-7 seconds ahead of the OTF guys but I enjoyed the OTF guys so much that it didn't really matter very much. Thanks and Hook 'Em!

I really enjoyed the interview with Ffrench. Too bad he interviewed better than he played WR.

2027 California WR Receives Visit From Mark Orphey *** Texas corners coach Mark Orphey is on the road in California Monday afternoon. Orphey made a stop in Irvine this morning to meet with 2027 WR Ty Johnson out of Crean Lutheran High. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver currently holds 20 offers and the Longhorns have long been in the hunt here. Johnson attended the Texas-Kentucky game in 2024 at DKR, and has been on campus plenty of times. Before moving moving to the west coast, Johnson attended Lampasas High School about an hour north of Austin. He spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Lampasas. Orphey stopped by to see Johnson and continue the Texas relationship, which to Johnson is still improving. "I would say our relationship is kinda small, but I definitely want to build a better relationship because I am very interested in Texas," Johnson told OTF. Johnson said he is very interested in getting back to Texas for a visit here in the spring. Texas has yet to offer so far in the recruitment. Notable Offers include: Arizona State Arkansas Georgia Oregon TCU Texas Tech UCLA Washington Wisconsin

This team is so schizophrenic.. I’m not bubble watching until march -
I've been here ever since y'all first started the channel w IT, and according to YT I was a top 0.5% viewer last year. This is the best in the biz. The interviews are by far what makes this special imo. This channel is where I get 100% of my exposure to current players, former players, and recruits. I would not know these folks existed otherwise. For me, OTF is solely responsible for tying Texas to these individuals. The interviews with notable figures, head coaches, and opponent beat reporters are also special and unique, please never stop doing them. CDC, Eltife, Abbott, and the roundtable championship HS coaches are what come to mind. The on-the-ground reporting is also more than worth it. I remember Bobby being the only Texas guy at Justus Terry's surprise commit, and how great that was to see. These are far above any of the other fantastic things y'all do like Coffee and Football and the nightly streams, in my opinion. The only things I actively seek elsewhere are the all-22 breakdown from Brooks Austin/Deep Dive w Paul and Ian at IT. Sometimes I'll listen to Paul's podcast if I want more straight-talk and less diplomatic language about the team performance/state of things.

He is counting 2" of hair in that photo. Kylar Murray is short. Baker Mayfield is short by NFL standards. I dislike short quarterbacks except for Donnie Wigginton.

But are we going to get a guard 😜? It’s been a concern for sure…

If I am interpreting the OU organizational structure correctly: Stephenson’s job is to raise the money for the players The new AD (Denny) job is to structure the deals with the players Nagy’s job is to identify the players and determine the money allocation across the roster. And hire/fire coaches. Venables’ only job is to call the defense. The times are changing!

Texas had a Quad 1 win bumped down to Quad 2. The win over Georgia is now viewed as a Q2 victory fwiw.

Only six weeks left in bubble-watching season!
