  1. Past hour
  2. Lagway might be able to sling it but asking him to play on time and in rhythm is or has been a tall task. I'm not even worried about how much Texas scored last year, I'm talking about Lagway who has 12tds-9ints, 50% passer, and can't stay healthy. If Texas was facing a Mississippi State qb with that history, we'd be licking our chops. So why does it make a difference that it's Florida?
  3. Florida has plenty of talent this year with a quarterback that can sling the ball vertically down field and a running back who is a handful to take down. Texas put up 49 on Florida a year ago when the Gators started CB4 and CB5. It will be a much tougher game in The Swamp.
  4. It trips me out that some fans seem to really be worried about Florida. Why? If the knock on Arch was let's seem him against a good defense then what do yall think Lagway is going to look like against Texas. Are we judging Florida on what they did to LIU at home? Lagway was really tearing up UGA either. Or if you want to bring up the LSU you game, 🤣, he was 50% against one of the worst defenses in the SEC. So far Lagway is barely a 50% passer against any defense with a pulse. Florida v Texas won't be close and I don't care if the game is played on the moon.
  5. Anyone who believed that Arch should have started over Quinn last year now knows why he wasn't. Having said that, I think he will be fine. His upside is really high. IMHO, he needs to calm down and set his feet. The college game hasn't slowed down for him yet.
  6. For the fans with yellow pants still

  8. Also want to mention that OTF has partnered with Seat Geek! www.seatgeek.com for all tickets, not just Texas games. Use promo code ONTEXAS10 when checking out and save yourself a little cash!
  9. Straining my eyes trying to find OU and Bama? 😆
  10. I hoped to get to this on Coffee and Football this morning, but we just didn't have time. CBS Sports released their CFP projections and has the Longhorns facing off against Texas Tech in the first round. The winner of that game would play LSU.
  11. Today
  12. Agree Sayin did not light the world on fire. 13-20 for 126 is not an impressive stat line. He did have 3 obvious drops and threw a couple away on purpose. The 40 yard TD to Tate was maybe his worst throw of the day, with that said I wont call it a fluke, I will call it an underthrown ball and a helluva play by Tate who is an outstanding athlete and that catch took athleticism, effort and concentration. Maybe only makes that catch 30-40% of the time. Sayin did get all of his passengers on the bus home safely. Look forward to his development and he will get to let it rip the next 2-3 weeks and gain some confidence.
  13. yes he was calm and cool . and scored 14. the ohio has a great defense
  14. Sayin had 12 career passing attempts prior to being the first player in history to beat the #1 ranked team in their first career start. I think that was a hell of a first game.
  15. I’ve got tickets for sale. 2 for Kentucky in Longhorn section. Sec. 209, Row 36 Asking 400 for pair. 2 for Florida in the Longhorn section . Sec. 321, Row 31. Asking 600.00 for pair. 4 for ou. Sec. 127, Row 35 Asking 450 per ticket. Will split. Hook’em
  16. The season rides on the games in the Swamp and in the Cotton Bowl. Have to go 1-1 at worst there. 0-2 there and you’re Citrus Bowl bound. 2-0 and SEC championship, CFP and beyond are still on the table. 1-1 you have no margin for error left.
  17. sayin looked like the bus driver to me. 13 -20 126 yards. people acting like he was great yo. my a$$. and 40 yards was a fluke double bobble to tate with our defender with an arm across tates stomach...
  18. Correct. 100 of Arch's passing yards came in the 4th qtr when they were down 14-0. With that said still not sure either team is championship caliber yet, but they both have top 5 defenses in the country. Lets see what Texas does vs Florida & Georgia and what we do vs Illinois, Penn State & Michigan
  19. The next 3 weeks should all be easy wins. It will be opportunity to improve but IMO we still won't know who we are. After the ou game if we are 5-1 the 2nd half of the season will be fun. We come out 3-3... Woof.
  20. The honeymoon is over. After an underwhelming first game, and all the criticism cast on our offense and QB, this team better come out with a sense of urgency and serious chip on its shoulder.
  21. Well that and it was rushed, O didn't even get a chance to get set. I know they didn't put a ton of trust in Arch but some bootleg passes wouldn't have killed them, to Endreis. I think Gerry or someone mentioned this a year or so ago, Sark is great between the 20's but once the field condenses he seems to not be able to figure it out. Not all the time, obviously but it is becoming an noticeable trend for his teams.
  22. 100%. I was shocked when I saw the yardage difference because watching the game live it felt like Ohio State was clearly the better team.
  23. It’s a long season. I’d rather start slow and finish strong. Remember “Texas…. is back” after ND in 2016?
  24. It probably will be the route I will have to go. I didnt know I had this many family members coming into town on a home game weekend.
  25. Be sure to join us around 8:15 AM for Coffee and Football, as we discuss the latest topics surrounding the Longhorns and answer your questions. Today we'll also be joined by OTF's Bob Shipley to talk about the Ohio State game, what to expect Saturday and more.
