  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, Buckeye Nation is quick to blame the low hanging fruit, which is LJ due to his age and perceived lack of recruiting ability. As more and more reports came out it was widely understood that it was Knowles who was holding the D back. This came to be understood way before he left for Penn State.
  3. 16 is the correct number as it eliminates the bye week games which failed miserably last year. 1st round home games for the Top 8 seeds The way the season falls, EVERYBODY in the playoffs gets a bye week (effectively) anyway. This isn't the NFL. Well, 8 would have been best, but that ship has sailed.
  4. @Gerry Hamilton isn’t the word that he has some sort of ankle injury? I can’t believe that’s held him out so long during fall camp.
  5. I’m a big big fan … need him healthy ! He’s definitely a top 3 WR on this team
  6. I've read that since Knowles left. I remember Buckeye nation reaction after that Oregon loss was that Knowles couldn't run the packages he wanted in pass rush situations because LJ controlled DL substitutions, preventing the personnel needed. After Knowles left, it morphed into Day had to get on to Knowles. When it first went down, it was Day had to make LJ let Knowles have what he wanted.
  7. The issue with Knowles is that the defense didn’t become what it was last season until Ryan Day stepped in and made him change the way he called the game. Which was Day wanted Knowles to bring more pressure and be more creative with his blitz packages. It was the Oregon loss that brought about the change and you could see the difference in the second game against Oregon.
  8. Quinn is looking good and doing things he didn't do last week. The Dolphins are even moving his launch point by giving him naked boots. He's 5/8 48 yards 2tds and no sacks.
  9. Reading that Larry Johnson is going to relent and play a larger rotation at DT. If he'd done that last year, probably still have Knowles.
  10. It is, but another set of eyes scouting Sark’s tendencies can only be a good thing. All reports out of fall camp is that the defense should be elite again.
  11. Does seem like an odd time for the hire.
  12. Most Ohio State fans love the hire. The more NFL coaches that are working as analysts the better.
  13. Ohio State named their 2025 captains today after their second and final scrimmage of fall camp. They are Caleb Downs (FS) - 5* .9953 #7 overall recruit Sonny Styles (LB) - 5* .9937 #12 overall recruit Brandon Innis (slot WR, replacing Egbuka) -4* .9815 #38 overall receuit Austin Siereveld (LT) - 4* .9045 #302 overall recruit
  14. My hope is that this is somehow a negotiation tactic to get the SEC to come to the table regarding the 4-4-2-2-1-1 model.
  15. Today
  16. Max should be 14. Just follow the NFL. Thats what it’s becoming anyway.
  17. Also, season is too long already and don't want to shorten regular season, so enough already. 🤘
  18. Good young man. KU is one of the few teams in that conference I don’t wish ill on so go get it
  19. Nah, Pettiti is a TV guy. It’s all about what will make the most money for him. The B1G isn’t having any trouble winning in this era.
  20. No thanks. Personally think 12 is too many, but 16 would be max sufferable in my opinion. Big10 needs to shut it. They only want it because they are top heavy and only way to get more teams in. 🤘
  21. If you watch enough of these preseason games and see all these QBs, they can all do what Quinn does underneath....he doesn't have a rare or special trait that many other QBs don't have.
  22. Just to get this out of the way now, NO Ohio State fan supports this. No B1G fan supports this
  23. Love that on multiple levels.... 🤘
  24. Yes they did. Have a day, Mr. Mukuba!
